U-Haul Moving & Storage of Downtown Mesa

The guys where absolutely! Awesome! I have never had such a smooth experience at a uhaul before. I had to rent 2 different trailers yesterday and it was a breeze with the amazing and friendly staff . I have not been that impressed with customer service in a long time anywhere

I will never rent a moving truck from U-Haul ever again. Not from this location and not from any. This was my first and last experience. This place penny pinches from poor people. They try and get every damn $1 they can get from you. I told them this was my first time renting and they told me absolutely nothing about anything I needed to do. I was then charged an extra $50 because they said I didn't add fuel to the rental which is completely false! I had this rental for less than 3 hours. I added the amount of fuel that I used back into it. The gas was not at the 1/4 fuel line. So I only added what it was at prior. This place is disgusting. I am a single mom on a very tight budget and they really decided that this is how they make a quick extra $50! I will never rent with this place again.

I would definitely go pickup your uhaul somewhere else. the worker jose has a nasty attitude and the manager doesn't care to help much. I rented a truck and had to return the the first one because it smelled like horses and it was leaking like crazy. They tried to deny us switching out the truck at first telling us it's not big deal. Then we finally got a new truck. I'm thinking everything is fine then we go to return the truck and they try to charge us $140. We got a 9' cargo van and drove under 20 miles. Then they tried to say it was because we didn't fill the gas...... not true. I made them go check the truck. They verified that's not true and then tried to charge us $65. I already prepaid $32. These trucks are $20 a day and about a $1 a mile so this doesn't make sense. I had the truck for LESS than a full day. I filed a report with uhaul and they said they saw no pending charges so we left the location. Definitely won't come back here and will settle this with the over the phone u haul representative who knew what she was talking about!

Josh is new and was super patient. There was an extra charge upon returning the truck. After going back and forth about it with Josh and his coworker Isaiah.. Josh had realized what the error was, he helped solved it. On the other hand his buddy Isaiah doesn’t know what 40 miles means. After telling him I drove only 40 miles (there & back) and I shouldn’t be charged for for an extra 43 miles… he tried to argue that I was taking detours in a Uhual.. like bud do you think I’m having fun driving this thing? Kept pushing that I was being charged extra for driving double the miles I did. AGAIN THANKS TO JOSH THE NEW GUY. But Isaiah had terrible customer service.

U-Haul came through for me. I needed a clean cargo van and indeed they had it. down side, they didn't offer extended cab cargo vans. The van was 9 ft long but not as tall as I wanted so I had to make due. All other cargo van companies get their big cargo vans (like I wanted) reserved and taken by all the shipping companies starting in October. Its insane. So I'm grateful for U-Haul. They do not recomend leaving your vehhicle on site due to the large homeless population that comes through the area because of the food shelters on this stretch of Broadway.

Juan, the general manager, is incredibly helpful! I had a fantastic experience at this U-Haul store and will definitely be using their other services. Highly recommend!
