South Coast Solar

My experience with South Coast Solar has been short, but I gleamed alot from my short interactions with them. The first thing is the kind caring people behind the company. Any questions I had or requests, they answered without hesitation. Great people!

These guys bailed me out on a botched install by a competitor. The communication, knowledge, and access to engineers/managers is unparalleled. Their technicians arrived ready to work, knew what to do, and were complete in less than the time they estimated, for the price they quoted. Compared to the other company - the experience was night and day. I'm very lucky to have found South Coast Solar, and I am so happy they were willing to put the effort and attention into a relatively small job. They will definitely be my first call if I'm ever shopping for a new solar system.

I used South Coast Solar to install my complete solar and battery backup system for my home. The process of deciding on my equipment, while not fast, was very thorough. I was confident that we had looked at all aspects of the system. Once that part was done then installation was scheduled and completed just per the contract. The work itself was of very good quality. It has been installed now for about 3 months and so far has actually exceeded expectations a bit. I do recommend that anyone considering solar really does their homework so they fully understand what the benefits are and are not. If you do that and decide it is for you then I would highly recommend South Coast Solar to do your installation. Many installers in this business are not professional or altogether trustworthy. All the team members were very professional and special notice should be given to Rebekah and Scott. Rebekah worked with me on the system design and Scott the installation.

South Coast Solar did a great job installing our original system 12 years ago, so we went back to them to expand our system and add a Powerwall. Rebekah was wonderful to work with, professional and very knowledgeable. Our upgrades have worked seamlessly with several power outages. We are very happy with the work!

I came to South Coast Solar when a competitor dropped the ball. The level of expertise and professionalism was amazing. Rebekah managed all aspects of our job, including help with a difficult grant application. The installers--Mitch, Thurman, Elijah, Kenny, Spencer, and Earl,--deserve a shout out for their spectacular workmanship, and also for keeping the job site clean. We're very with every aspect of our solar project.

South Coast Solar gave us honest recommendation for our properties. Rebecca Olinde, their researcher and consultant, was extremely competent and did extensive research for us to determine our best course of action for energy efficiency. Because of her research she determined it would be in our best economic interest to consider installing the panels when we did a roof replacement for maximum economic benefit. Other solar companies just wanted a quick install and turn a fast buck. Not South Coast Solar. They gave us hard facts and data to support our decision. Refreshing to deal with a professional ethical company.

South Coast Solar installed my panels this winter, and I'm so glad I decided to work with them. All of the staff and installers I spoke with were professional and knowledgeable, and I really felt like they helped me find the best possible option for my home. I have 18 SunPower 360W panels installed on my roof: 9 panels for my unit, and 9 for my tenant's unit. Both units are pretty small so our bills aren't that high (I pay electricity for both sides), but I'm excited to see the savings and be more environmentally-friendly, too. The panels are on a hard-to-see roof (I had to walk across the street and down to take this picture), but they look great, and I wouldn't mind if they were more visible. All of the installers that came out to the house were polite, professional, and responsive, and they made sure that everything was cleaned up before leaving. I'm now waiting on Entergy to give me permission to turn my system on. Many thanks to the folks at South Coast Solar for working with me on this project - I'll continue to send homeowners interested in solar their way!
