Lovely little space in the East River that is just perfect for a little gig or for taking the kids for some skateboarding practice! Super nice views of Queens and Brooklyn and an entry point to amazing downtown bicycle ride that can take one--and one's family--all down and around the "horn" of Manhattan (i.e., Battery Park and whatnot). Anyway, we like this place !
A terrific place under the FDR which overlooks Williamsburg. It recycles and can house parties for up to 300 people. It's a huge tent with space for a stage, dance floor and a great location. Decorate it to the way you want. It has one bathroom and a sink outside in the office. It's recommended to use the outhouses in the parking lot. No wifi-but who needs it with the view. Located:23St and FDR.
Underutilized public space. The solar building is kind of cool, but more often than not it's turned into Oktoberfest rather than posting anything meaningful.
