They've done such a remarkable job with this hotel. I was blown away at how incredible the property was from the lobby, to the modern and spacious rooms, to the well equipped gym. Even though the hotel just reopened, they didn't miss a beat when it came to service. The food at Peacock Ally and for breakfast were also great. The only small complaints I have are lack of a pool and difficulty accessing the HDMI port in the TVs to plug in your own device. I came here for my birthday and they made sure it was a memorable one! This started from the very beginning at check-in with them wishing me a happy birthday to them leaving birthday gifts in our room on arrival. They went out of their way to work with my friend to find such a thoughtful gift and something that I'll never forget! It was such a pleasant surprise to walk into the room and see the gifts they came up with. On top of that, they had a few more surprises in store such as delivering birthday balloons to my room, along with dropping off champagne and cake. I hope to get the chance to come back here again in the near future!
I have been blessed to stay at many exceptional hotels around the world. I do have to say that the remodel of this hotel is stunning and very classy. What I didn't expect was that the employee service would be exceptional. During my stay I received a phone call to my cell phone while I was in the lobby of the hotel on another call. I let it go to voicemail and it was the hotel checking on my stay. I called back the hotel to speak with Maryam Hamedanizadeh, the Assistant Director of Rooms. I shared with her how impressed I was, not only with the hotel, but for the kind follow-up. She came to the lobby to greet me herself! She handed me her business card and told me a little of the history of the hotel and many of the services it had to offer. I texted her later that day to tell her how impressed I was with taking the extra time and being proactive. She even set reservations for me at one of their two top notch restaurants! Now that's service! Maryam and this hotel are a class act!
Super consigliato! Speriamo di tornare presto da voi!
I booked the Waldorf Astoria New York well in advance to celebrate my friend Antonio’s birthday. A few days before our arrival, I called to confirm some details and was warmly assisted by Molly, who took a genuine interest in making our stay special. She asked thoughtful questions about Antonio, and I left the call feeling excited for the trip. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Carson, who kindly helped with our bags. At the front desk, Gentiana welcomed us with an early check-in and generously upgraded us to a one-bedroom Lexington Avenue Suite. On the way to the elevator, she gave us a brief but fascinating history of the hotel and a tour of the iconic clock — a lovely touch. When we entered our suite, we were surprised and delighted to find a personalized gift for Antonio: a beautiful music clock and a stylish hat, both inspired by the details I had shared with Molly earlier. Later, Molly and her colleague arrived with giant "Happy Birthday Antonio" balloons and even sang to us — a truly unforgettable moment. As if that weren’t enough, we were treated to a full bottle of champagne and a decadent chocolate dessert with "Happy Birthday" written on it. The suite itself was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Lex Yard — the eggs Benedict and French toast were standouts. For lunch, we tried the Waldorf salad and pigs in a blanket, both excellent. Throughout our stay, we had lovely interactions with the staff, including Gordon, a friendly doorman on the Lexington Avenue side. Every person we encountered made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. This was, without question, the best hotel experience I’ve ever had — thanks to the kindest staff, a stunning setting, and an atmosphere of true hospitality. I can’t wait to return.
Had my first stay at the Waldorf Astoria New York over the last couple of days, and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were beautifully furnished and exceptionally comfortable — you can really tell how thoughtful and intentional the design is, from the layout to the individually climate-controlled rooms. Breakfast was also excellent — beautifully presented and delicious. The staff throughout the hotel were exceedingly polite and warm, from the doormen and bellhops (special thanks to Louis, who was such a great help arranging my Uber) to the in-room dining team — my server mentioned he’s been with the Waldorf for 22 years, which really speaks to the culture of the place. A few small kinks to iron out: The lobby staff could be better oriented — several weren’t sure which elevators went where, which made it confusing after check-in. It would help if Uber could correctly locate the hotel’s main entrance at 301 Park Avenue — both I and others in my group had multiple pickup issues. Phone etiquette was a bit inconsistent — sometimes I was greeted by name, other times not. Overall, an amazing stay at a truly beautiful hotel with so many wonderful people working there. I’m already looking forward to coming back! 5/5!
We had a drink there to see the new renovation. It is stunning! It is worth a visit to go see this historic hotel and be witness to its new chapter. The people at the front desk were so nice to answer our questions about the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with them and they made us feel so welcome. Thanks, Aileen, Nick and Gentiana! We hope to be back to stay there some day or to have dinner at the restaurant which sounds amazing!
The long-awaited renovation and reopening of this hotel was a challenge that I believe was not just met, but redefined. Starting with our room, the spaciousness, décor, and finish made for a homely feel rather than a typical hotel. The cleanliness of the room was amazing. |We were celebrating our anniversary which we mentioned at check in and this was recognized by everyone we encountered. The service throughout the stay was wonderful. From the moment we alighted from our taxi to the tour we received of the room, everyone was super helpful and made us feel welcomed. Megan graciously gave us an impromptu tour of the lobby area after check-in. Sandra provided us with a small token to commemorate our stay. You could tell that the staff actually wanted to be there as opposed to just going through the motions.|We dined at the Lex Yard and Saiyda, our server, was excellent! The Waldorf salad was as tasty as we expected. We also had the lamb and the monkfish which were both delicious. We had in-room dinning for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. |I was able to hear the streets of New York from my room but that actually added to the ambiance of the location of this property. You're in the heart of midtown, Manhattan and all that has to offer. |We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel with no hesitation.|Good job Waldorf Astoria New York!
