Customer Reviews

My family and I recently visited this Warwick CVS branch to purchase some personal items. While using the self-checkout, the system froze and became unresponsive. An employee came over and restarted the machine, but the delay led the staff to move me to a regular checkout lane. When they tried to apply my Extra Bucks balance, they claimed I only had 14cents left even though I know I have $25 available. I showed them the balance on my phone and told them that I had just signed a one-year membership, so I was certain that I had extra bucks. The manager interjected and said it could be because I already applied it on the self-checkout counter so it’s not showing up. I showed them my phone to prove that I have extra bucks, and the manager checked my phone and told me that I needed to apply the Extra Bucks to my card. I attempted to explain that they were already on my card, but the manager kept interrupting and did not listen. I sensed frustration from her, likely because a line had formed and she was still helping me. Since they were unable to resolve the issue, I decided to complete the transaction via my phone as a pickup order. I see that she became more upset when my online order was the same item but different variety from the one I picked from the store. In the end, the transaction was completed, though I suspect I paid more than necessary. Unfortunately, I did not receive a receipt, so I am unable to confirm the charges. I left feeling undervalued as a customer. She didn’t even ask if I needed anything else. We are fairly new to the area and I had stopped at this CVS branch to explore the store for the first time. I had hoped for a welcoming first impression, but instead, I felt dismissed and unwelcome. I am still giving a 2-star rating because the staff "tried" to help and even said, "have a good day," however, it felt perfunctory and insincere. It’s just disappointing since this store has a wider selection compared to the Newport News location. However, since the staff were neither helpful nor friendly, it’s unlikely that we will come back.
Communication by their employees in the pharmacy leaves much to be desired. Three days ago we were told there was some issue with another pharmacy that they needed to resolved. Today we were told that was resolved and one prescription was ready and the other would be ready in an hour. We come back an hour later and now it's a problem with perscriber. I almost can't wait for next week when I come back again and it's some new reason. They are playing with people's lives and well-being. At least communicate well the first time.
Took a prescription here to get filled and was told they couldn’t find the doctor in their system and they were too busy to call the number to verify anything on the prescription. It was 8p on a Tuesday with an empty lot. Don’t waste your time going here.
I've been purchasing products and medicine from CVS for years never had a problem with them my records are safe, you can consult nicely and most make you feel a little better. I just love CVS one more thing you know you buying a candy bar. 1300 Warwick Rd Newport News Va
If I could give this place a ZERO STARS I would. The pharmacy staff have no clue what they are doing. You get a text saying your prescription is ready and you get there and its not. Not to mention this place is absolutely filthy for a pharmacy. I'm going back to Walmart where it clean and know what they are doing!!
Pharmacy is always kind and helpful. However, as far as the front end store goes, good luck finding someone to help you.
Plenty of people in the store but the door is locked. They just looked at us and walked away with no acknowledgement. The one who left first at around 10 :25 left their trash in the parking lot in front of the door.
