I want to highlight Annie from the kitchen design department because she is truly a gem in this store. Her love, dedication, and hard work show in every detail of what she does. I've been a customer for years, and I can confidently say she is the best employee in the store. Thank you, Annie, for your wonderful work and for making every experience so special
I’m writing this as a warning to anyone parking their vehicle at Home Depot. My car sustained over $4,000 in damage due to a loose shopping cart that rolled out of a cart return and into my vehicle. The cart return area had no safety strips or containment measures to prevent carts from escaping — a basic safety precaution that many responsible retailers implement to protect customers and their property. After filing an incident report, Home Depot's Insurance Company reviewed their CCTV footage and acknowledged that an employee did not intentionally cause the damage. However, they used this as a reason to deny any responsibility or coverage, completely ignoring the fact that the damage resulted from a dangerously designed and poorly maintained cart corral. This is not just an unfortunate incident — it is a clear case of negligence. Home Depot’s refusal to take accountability highlights a disturbing lack of concern for customer safety or property. If you're shopping here, do so at your own risk, and think twice about parking near their cart returns. Apparently, unless an employee is caught on camera deliberately damaging your car, Home Depot won’t stand behind the safety of their facilities. Very disappointed and frustrated by how this was handled. Home Depot can and should do better.
I shop here every now and then…it’s okay to roam through and buy my tools from time to time.. But i had a better experience returning than ever. Jocelyn Helped me with my return and it went super fast and pleasant. We need more people like her working at your store
Bought an item online laye night for store pickup. Next day went to pickup early morning (6:00am) an it was ready for me. This helped to finish my project early
Bought a $1.7k fridge in store cause my fridge died and they allegedly handled the delivery and removal of the old fridge. I was VERY CLEAR in store this was important and that I was without a fridge. They assured me it would be delivered. Canceled my deliver the 1st time due to alleged damage to the unit, rescheduled for the next Saturday.... then after calling multiple times to confirm my refrigerator was coming the follow up Saturday and being assured it was, I was told it wasn't. This is the worse experience in getting an appliance I have ever had. I am going to attempt a refund tomorrow becuase this is getting insane.
The organization of products is nonsensical, finding anything takes patience as you wander from aisle to aisle, toilets on the same aisle as toilet parts, nope but pipefitting tools are.
I came here to buy a grill because this was one of very few places in the area that supposedly had the one I wanted in stock. When I arrived, I couldn't find one anywhere. Not on a shelf, nor a floor model. I went to the customer service desk to get some assistance, and boy did I ever. Delonda (I hope I spelled your name correctly) was exceptionally helpful. After confirming there were four units in stock, she helped me check every single location they were possibly stored at, as reported by their inventory system. Unfortunately, every spot was empty. It was frustrating, but stock systems can sometimes be wonky like that. This didn't deter Delonda though. She continued to search every possible location, spending at least 30 minutes walking around the store with me, and finally we found two of them outside in the garden section. Apparently they had recently been assembled by an employee who hadn't had an opportunity to tag them and bring them inside yet. I was really impressed with the customer service I received at this store, especially considering it was a busy day, late in the afternoon, very hot outside, and the day before 4th of July. This alone is reason enough for me to make the trip to Newport News instead of the store closer to my house. Thank you very much for making what could have been a miserable experience, a very pleasant one instead.
