Marine Corps Exchange (MCX)

A great Exchange! It's super big! I got lost. I actually to ask if they had something I needed. They answered with no problems! No long wait. This exchanges looks like it has everything. The staff are nice andhelped me when I got lost. Also a lot of items on clearance and very good looking merch. Definitely stop by! Easy to find when you get to Camp P.

This MCX (Marine Corps Exchange) is a hot mess. If you want to go shopping, without knowing the price, for things like make up, perfume, shoes. This might be the place for you. However if you like knowing the price of your items, without having to find a price checker machine, or just walking up to the register, to be surprised about the price of an item. This might not be the place for you. I personally like knowing the price of items before I buy them. Which I thought was a normal thing. Customer service, at this MCX Is not the greatest. The employees here, are really not helpful. The women’s clothing at the store, seems to be outdated, out of style and not relevant in today’s market. This store also looks like it over charges. You would most likely be able to find the same items, out in town, and at regular retail stores, or online, for a cheaper price. If you’re in the mood to go shopping, I would give this place a miss, maybe head over to Carlsbad Outlet Mall. You would most definitely know the price, and get a better deal. One star, because it looked clean.

Beautiful and clean lots of merchandise to choose from on base. Similar to Target dept store. Really very nice location.

My family and I went shopping for Christmas gifts today. We were there at least a couple of hours. We had some very helpful employees, but the one that really stood out was the cashier, who we will call her "K". K was exceptional. She was courteous, helpful, and very patient; which is unfortunately very rare in customer service anymore.

I thought they kept this place pretty well organized and clean. One of the associates that helped us out was super nice!

Only thing that I buy that day was a book about a famous marine horse that served with the Marines in the Korean War. Is a story about a grand Horse name Sergeant Reckless that was in the service of the Marine Corps during the Korean War like the Marines that served with it. Dedicated to doing it's part in the war like it was it's was born to serve with the Marines.

Their costumer service at the star desk is terrible. The lady looked at me like I was dumb and said for next time I need to make a line like everyone else and that they can do a return at any register. I told her the register number I went to and that the young lady didn’t know how to do a return without the receipt and credit card only. She still did the return, but she was rude.
