PODS Moving & Storage

I'm so glad we used PODS! It was SO convenient. The drivers were fantastic! I will use PODS again for my next move for sure!!

I’ve used pods once and it was a good easy experience. So we used it for a cross country move and it has been increasingly difficult. Our pod was supposed to be at our home a week earlier but they never shipped it when we had an agreed contract saying dates to ship out. We were told they tried to call and email us yet I have no missed calls, emails or notifications about communication with us I had already spent 2 days on the phone because our shipment was supposed to be 7 days and turned into 14. We spent two days packing everything as fast as possible and then PODS never sent our items to our new home! We tried contacting someone about this and was told "claim denied" with no attempt to talk to us We have already told everyone we know not to use this company and will continue doing so Our kids don’t have beds ready because of this company This company has cost us thousands in additional moving expenses.

I have used Pods for my recent move. The Thousand Oaks location has amazing employees working for them. They are friendly and professional. You can tell they take pride in what they do . The driver Miguel was fabulous. He had such a great attitude and took great care with the delivery and pickup of the pods. You could tell he loves his job. Highly recommend.

I was delivered a faulty POD that was damaged on the back corner and taped and it leaked in the rain and ruined all of my belongings. PODS obviously knew the POD was damaged and delivered to me anyway. I thought it would be convenient to keep my items at my house but wish I would have rented a truck and moved them to a storage unit instead. I would not recommend!! Also, if you do go through with ordering a POD make sure you find out with your city or county if you need a permit to place on the street. They didn’t tell me I needed one and it ended up delaying my move.

The customer service at this company is by far one of the worst I've ever had to deal with (on par with public utility companies). They lock you in and make promises they can't keep and their customers are screwed with no options. I am moving cross country and booking the drop off was no issue. That's where the good ended. I was told to call 3 days in advance to schedule the pickup so I called with 5 days to pickup and they can't get it scheduled until day 13. Then my quoted 10 day time frame to deliver to new property has now magically been changed to 14. I've spent 5 hours on hold and on the phone and been blown off every single time. Last night was given a different phone number to call "corporate" and the number was just a different 855 number that sent me to same phone system with and hour wait. Then after holding for another hour and I pressed the agent about the expedited request that had been put in the day before (which they won't even call you with a yes/no until 5-6pm the day before said "expedite") she told me to call back during their open hours today so they can call the local supervisor to try and get an answer. Thus another 90min on hold and the agent today said they can't call local pickup facility my only option is to wait until 5-6pm the night before. I would happily ask anyone to review and listen to every conversation I had with an agent from booking through today. I have cancelled my order and will never use this company again. Moving within same area worked fine 2 years ago but they are completely unprepared to deal with out of state moves because they rely on third parties to be available. I would imagine they have negotiated rates with these third parties thus they don't get primary preference.

Customer service is horrible. They pay no attention to what you are asking and when you get the quote it is not what what discussed! They tell you one price on the phone and a completely different price when you go to book. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! Like $1000's apart. Its a great idea but...

The experience was great the guy who Loaded my truck was really professional and got it done in 5 minutes
