I can’t say enough good things about David and the Pasadena Shop. I was vacillating between several bikes: a Gazelle T10, a Specialized Vado, a Diamond Back Response, and a Bulls Iconic. I test drove the first few. But I could not find a Bulls bike to test drive anywhere but San Diego and San Francisco… until I called Open Trails. I caught David at his shop doing paperwork on a Sunday and he opened up for me to come over. David had a Bulls Copperhead bike with a soft tail, very comparable to the BULLS ICONIC EVO TR 2 SPEED that was on my short list. He gave me a lot of valuable info about Bulls bikes and I loved the feel of the one I rode. He offered me a great price for the model I wanted and the size that would be perfect for me. I agreed on the spot. He recommended better pedals than the ones that come with the bike, so I found a good pair online for $20. He ordered the bike and had it all put together in his shop in a few days. It was perfectly assembled when I arrived and looked awesome! Black and Silver, with all the bells and whistles of a German E-Bike: aluminum frame, Bosch Gen 4 motor, 625 wh battery, super comfortable saddle, dropper post, and a detailed and easy-to-read Kiox display, to name just a few. He made several micro-adjustments over the next hour as I took multiple rides up and down his street. He helped me get it up on my rack and strapped down. I've got an old rack and he told me he would have much better racks on sale for $250 in a couple weeks. I’ll be calling him soon. David is a really nice, well-informed, trustworthy guy. I stopped by a few stores in Pasadena last weekend looking for my first e-bike - I sold my car last year and really need a way to run errands and get around the area. This shop felt much friendlier than others I went to and I was matched to the perfect bike for me. I was able to test ride the bike around the block and it was very fun and easy to figure out with help from the wonderful staff. They are an honest company that price matches without needing to ask which I found really admirable and put the bike in my price range! Since this is my first e-bike, I also was comforted by the one year maintenance warranty and the reassurance they would be there to help with anything I needed in the future. I was very impressed with the price of the bike compared to what I had seen at other shops, especially because the bike came with a wired headlight and rear brake lights, a bell, LCD screen display, a rear rack for cargo, built in "find my iPhone" app, fenders, and both pedal assist and throttle. I left with my dream bike and feel great about supporting such a worthy local business - I truly cannot recommend Open Trails enough!!

If you want to have some extreme fun, you are at a right place. We rented two ebikes for local trails and we were able to climb all the way to top of Mt. Wilson for the first time. I have been riding mountain bikes for many years and was never able to ride all the way to the top. Ebike gives you that extra strength and extreme workout. The bikes preformed flawlessly. I called in the morning and was able to borrow a great eMTB the same day for my Dad, so we could ride up Mt Wilson together. Awesome experience and very fairly priced. David was really helpful, knowledgeable, and clearly loves to bike himself. Thanks David! I will definitely be coming back in future.

Amazing customer service and experience. Went out of his way to accommodate our group and help us get going. Bikes are in amazing shape, we made it almost to the top of Mt Wilson and still had 60% battery left on the ebikes. Really fun experience, must try.
