Customer Reviews
Whole Foods Market has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 based on over 1897 reviews on Google
This is honestly one of the best Whole Foods I’ve been to. The Pasadena location is massive, open, and full of light — it just feels good to walk around in. There’s a relaxed vibe here too, way less uptight than some other stores I’ve visited. The buffet and hot food section is seriously impressive. Loads of options — from sushi and vegan dishes to fresh fruit and hearty comfort food. It’s the kind of place where you could easily grab lunch or dinner and actually be excited about it. They’ve also got a great range of everything else — organic produce, pantry staples, frozen meals, supplements, snacks from all over. It’s well laid out and easy to navigate, even when it’s busy. Staff were friendly, the store was spotless, and I genuinely enjoyed wandering the aisles. Whether you’re shopping for the week or just grabbing a bite, Whole Foods Pasadena is worth the visit.
Only sells organic rotisserie chicken with salt and pepper. The whole point of eating organic is for health and to prevent or minimize cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, kidney damage and stones, weight gain, osteoporosis, increased risk of stomach cancer. It's possible to add seasoning but not possible to take it off. I've been to several Whole Foods in Southern CA offering both plain and seasoned. I think this is the only Whole Foods in the US that doesn't offer organic rotisserie chicken without any added seasoning? I love the staff at Whole Foods. They're always very helpful and polite. Sprouts in Alhambra and Pasadena offers plain, unseasoned.
As someone who has been an Amazon Prime member for over a decade and a long-term Amazon shareholder, I never thought I’d spend time writing a negative review — but the experience here was disappointing enough that it deserves to be documented. Amazon just went through company-wide layoffs, and yet somehow employees who clearly lack basic customer service skills are the ones being retained? There were six self-checkout stations open and completely unused. I had fewer than 10 items, and the sign clearly states "15 items or less." Yet I was stopped and told I could not use self-checkout. The employee pointed at a sign with tiny print that said "No carts," and simply said, in a very cold tone, "It’s already the policy." No explanation. No courtesy. No attempt to help. Nothing. I know some Whole Foods locations have this rule — but this specific store did not enforce it before. Policies can change, that is understandable, but customer interaction matters. We’re paying membership fees + a premium for products, and in return we are met with a level of service that feels more like a low-end discount chain. Honestly, this management style reminds me of how poorly the Pasadena Foothill Blvd location used to be run — until the store manager there changed and things noticeably improved. If the same leadership approach has moved here, it shows. If you don’t want customers using self-checkout, then remove the self-checkout area entirely. Don’t place a staff member there whose job seems to be making the customer experience worse. It takes years to build brand loyalty and about five minutes of poor service to destroy it. Today was one of those five minutes.
The Sushi ladies here are so sweet!!! I love them and only go because of them. They are very accommodating whenever I go. Whole Foods market as a whole has great service at this location! Love what they are doing at this place
This Whole Foods location is a gem! The store is massive and always has everything I need. Their coffee bar is a standout, serving up amazing, strong coffee that's better than any other I've had. The fresh produce section is huge and offers fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. I can't recommend this place enough!
Hands down the best Whole Foods I have ever been to. Friendly and generous employees. Multiple levels to the store. Multiple levels of parking. Multiple EV charging stations. Immense food selection, something for whatever the craving. Many TVs. This place is certainly setting the bar for all Whole Foods around. Location built right.
Overall, a solid 7.5/10 location. Parking is not too busy and the hot bar had an okay selection, not as good as the pasadena foothills/hastings ranch location imo. But. The matcha was horrendous. I've had amazing smoothies and matchas from whole foods so decided to try out the matcha. It was clumpy, watered down, and tasted like milk.
