Wonderful and very helpful team. I got my car battery charged there, one of the employee volunteered to help me with putting it in the car since it was heavy to lift for me. It was really kind of him to help out. Really appreciate the help and kindness the person showed. I will ask and mention his name in my edits next time I go there 🙂
Saul and another gentlemen whom I didn't get his name, (I'm so sorry!), we're extremely helpful!! One of my guests who rented my vehicle, took it to Burning Man and completely killed my battery. Saul and his coworker helped us with the kind of battery that we needed and let us change the battery in the parking lot with the help of their tools. In order to get my Jeep to O'Reilly, Saul told me that I could borrow their battery jumper. 10/10 for these guys and this store! Javi was the name of the other super helpful employee.
I stopped by today after my check engine light had come on. Around 50,000 miles ago, one of my cylinders had misfired and the light had come on then, so I thought the same thing had happened again. I went in and asked the employee if he had the time to read the code for me. He did, and we walked outside to the parking lot together. He read the code, and I was right, it was another cylinder misfire. Thinking that he had cleared the code, I thanked him, started my car and saw that the light was still on. I walked back in, apologized for bothering him again, and asked if he would clear the code for me. He said he couldn't, but didn't specify why. He told me that the cylinders could continue to misfire, which would cause the check engine light to come on again. I told him that this was precisely why I wanted it to be cleared; I wanted to know if it happened again. The other employee behind the counter, who had the code reader in hand at the time, stated, "and even if we wanted to clear it, this button does nothing" while pressing the clear button on the reader. Really guys? I could understand if they didn't want to clear it due to store policy, or potential liability reasons of something egregious were to happen to my car later. But to insult my intelligence and outright lie to a customer is a bad path to take. I've had wonderful experiences at various O'Reilly's locations all over Nevada, so this was stunning to me.
I thought I had a bad alternator and planned to spend a bunch of money on it. But, O'Reilly had a courtesy service and ran a diagnostic on my battery, alternator, and electrical system. They saved me a bunch because that was not my problem. So, while I was there, I purchased other things I needed for my car. They are professional and courteous.
There was a young man there, Julian, came out to check if my tire chains were correct help me notice the manufacturing defect, and got me replacement chains. Both young gentleman working were very nice, and quick to help me with whatever I needed. Above and beyond.
SUPER SMOOTH AND QUICK SERVICE
I trust O'Reilly's for all my basic car needs. There always spot on for proper parts replacement. It's a rare occasion, I have to go back for an exchange. Nobody is perfect. It's important to know the exact model of your vehicle going in. As long as they get the right info, you will get the right part. Be sure to ask for military discount, if you're a veteran! Every penny helps.
