If you’re looking for a hardware store in the city, you’ve come to the right place. Their products can be useful at times, specially when your apartment’s maintenance team falls behind. Bought my first hammer at this location. Staff are friendly and helpful.
i went into this store location at around 11 on 11/08/25, needing to pick up a few items and leaving at around 11:30. Upon entering it was actually a pretty nice experience, I was greeted by a younger male employee who told us there was a 20% off sale and helped me find what I needed very quickly and efficiently. by that time of me leaving he was at the front cash register and overall my experience with him was pleasant. my issue comes with the older woman that was checking out my items. I end up getting called to her lane and saw that I has a $10 off reward but was told i couldn’t use it due to the 20% off that every item had which was honestly fine with me and I completely understood that. When being asked if i had an account I was told i had an account with ace hardware and not coles hardware. The male worker overhead this from the other register and asked if i wanted to create an account with coles hardware - which i absolutely wanted to do I am new to the area and wanted to set up the account just to be able to track my purchases and stuff. the lady that is checking me out then turns as tells me that i cannot create one because "i wanted the discount" and denied to help me make one even when i asked another time if i can just make my account so it makes it easier when i come back since i live close by. she told me she was not able to but then I overhear the male on the register creating an account for the woman that he was helping check out. it honestly just really confused me and rubbed me the wrong way because why am i getting denied for creating and account to the store saying she is not able to when the people next to me were doing so ? i overall just didnt like the customer service she was giving me as it just made me leave the store feeling very confused and is making me feel like i dont want to return to the store because it felt kinda rude
Terrible! Horrible! Absolutely unacceptable! I went in for a box truck to carry my luggage and was almost overcharged 25 dollars more by another employee who claimed it needed to be assembled first. He communicated with the cashier incorrect information and even became slightly aggressive when I asked the cashier ringing me up if I could wait until I received the item in my hands first. The other employee brought the item shortly after and the cashier corrected the price, but at this point I was relieved not being overcharged and I did not inspect the item first. I was given a defective item and on the receipt it says non refundable. I have used it for one day and this is what the defective wheel looks like... the other side is fine. I am in a tough spot and I thought of this location because I have been a customer in the years past but NOT ANYMORE! Beware!
If you're looking for a friendly neighborhood hardware store, this ain't it, at least not in my experience. I interacted with 4 very unfriendly employees. The cashier made a mistake on pricing and I had to stand there for literally 20 minutes waiting for it to be corrected, and wasn't even informed why it was taking so long.
Retour d'un pack de machine Milwaukee vendu avec les 2 batteries HS. Les autres packs ont le meme defaut. 1 heure pour trouver une solution avec de batteries moins puissantes. Perte d'un temps précieux et gaspillage d'argent
I go here often. The customer service is great. Great selection of products. I get keys made there a lot and they had a problem making a key for a Kawasaki Vulcan, but it turns out it's a difficult key to make. Nevertheless I know another guy on Geneva who can make any key! Coles is awesome!
Very convenient location on 4th Street just before mission. This Ace Hardware store has all you need for home repairs. They have the lower level and also carry lots of home and personal needs for travelers. A a bit on the pricey side. However the conveniences is worth it.
