Altus Power, Inc.

I have been using Altus Power for over 10 years and it has saved me thousands of dollars off my electric bills with their discount. There are no up front costs to join and using them works transparently through National Grid's billing system. Electric companies are obligated to purchase the generated solar credits and they never expire. Electricity costs continue to rise and Altus Power provides a hedge against them. I recommend them to all my friends. Solar panels located in an off-site farm are better than having them mounting on your roof for so many reasons.

Called to get my autopay canceled, they didn't do it and it got drafted. I asked for a bill sent to my address so I can see it, they said no due to being a green company. Asked if they could reverse the payment they drafted because they didn't cancel they said no. When I initially called to re-cancel my autopay they told me they'd call back in an hour to come to a resolution. That didn't happen either. Wished I never signed up

Altus has gradually made progress in their reporting and billing systems. I continue to appreciate having access to a solar farm so that I can reduce my reliance on fossil fuel electricity providers. I have my own solar panels too, but I don't have enough capacity to cover my power needs, so Altus is the next best thing.

I greatly appreciate the opportunity it be able I acquire solar energy by participating with Altus Power. Coming from a townhome, Altus Power has made it possible for me to use solar power as part of the electric energy. My electric bill has not gone up since then. Soon I will be able to add another panel to make my electric bill even lower or close to none. Thank you Altus Power.

My experience with Altus Power's Pālailai Community Solar Project on Oʻahu has been very positive. My subscription has provided 75% of our apartment's electricity demand with clean, renewable solar power at a cost savings of 6% while encouraging Altus Power to build more community solar projects. Unfortunately, the subscription process was more complicated than it might have been which is not Altus Power's fault. However, since subscribing, I've saved money on my electricity bills with no further effort, so it's like free money. The subscription costs nothing and could be cancelled at any time at no cost, so why not subscribe?

Unfortunately there is not a "0" star option. I admit, I did not take to time to do more research about the dishonest practices of this company. My fault. I was told it would be 'no problem' to cancel at any time, which I did after one month. I called to cancel this service on March 13, and here I am, 5 months later still being billed. Each time I call about this I am told that it can 'take a few months for the final bill to process'. Run, don't walk, away from doing any business with Altus Power.

I purchased a home next to one of their solar fields in MA, they use cheap inverters, and the buzzing noise is so loud on a sunny day that we cannot be outside at the back of our home. We contacted them about the issue, testing was done, which was barely below the legal state limit, but they refused any sound mitigation. Even their own employee confessed to us in person that the noise was too high, yet the ownership refused to do anything about it. They do not care about the community or neighborhood impact surrounding their fields and use cheap equipment that barely meets states and local requirements in terms of sound.
