From start to finish the experience was a debacle. I wish I could say otherwise because the supervisor Ben had been great from when I scheduled my move to when I actually moved. He was extremely reasonable and patient. He had great communication for the most part, even with rescheduling my move last minute the week before. Going from working with him to the two guys who walked in was a 360°. I received voicemails from Francisco that barley made sense, and the text below with his picture and an "About Me" text that they could definitely do without. I was completely understanding when the arrival time went from 2pm, to 3pm, to 3:40pm last minute. They did not properly wrap any furniture for protection. They were struggling to carry my entertainment center without having to put it down and then let it be dragged across the floor. The same for my sectional couch. Both of which were damaged in the process. This tells me a third person should have assisted or they just aren’t fit for the job. They were extremely pushy with trying to upsell the junk service giving their own price of $150 when I inquired about junking a few items even after I declined. I had to step out for an hour at the end of their service and my mother stayed with them while they finished. They rushed to finish the job and left my daughters bed halfway assembled, lost the screws to half of my sectional legs and left all of them unattached. Francisco spent a lot of time on the phone and trying to direct the other guy like he was new. He still made sure to persuade my mother into sending a CashApp tip after apologizing that she didn’t have cash on her.
Hired them to do some moving labor for an hour with the potential to go over the hour. The 2 guys were there for a total of 15 minutes, 10 minutes of discussion on what we wanted done, 5 minutes of actually moving something into the truck (5 minutes of paying time). They moved a rolling tool cart into the truck and rolled into place, perfect! The second rolling tool cart they let roll into the truck which smashed into boxes that we had loaded ourselves first. A bottle of car wax broke and leaked under several of our boxes. The guys asked me what else I needed them to do and I told them we’re all set they can go. They had one of the owners on the phone, Ben, whom I felt uncomfortable telling him the situation while they were standing next to me, so he processed the payment. After they left I called to make a complaint and to get a refund issued. I sent Ben the pictures and he disregarded them saying his guys said nothing happened and refused a refund and blocked me after I reached out several more times. I reached out to another owner, Sean, and he seemed promising at first to trying to get a refund issued but proceeded to say it was $30 in damages and would not do a full refund. $338 was paid for 5 minutes of dishonest work where damages was seen immediately, why should I let them continue to work where they could possibly cause more damage. The refund isn’t for "damages" it’s for the obvious lack of care they showed within that 5 minutes and does not warrant that $338 to be paid to them. He continued the conversation changing the damages done from $30 to $15 to $10. He tried to bribe his way to a positive review and offered $75 which I foolishly took but then returned his tainted $75 to leave this true review. He went as far as messaging my previous employer that I cannot be trusted and that I am a witch, all because I had people who had my back and started posting their opinions on college hunks. I am not responsible for others opinions but mine. What kind of business owner results to this kind of behavior when asked and followed up on multiple times in the course of a week for a refund. I have been pursuing this refund since 8/25/2025 reaching out to the franchisor, the owners, making a complaint with the BBB. A business owner who threw around his pride of "owning" 3 businesses, being a board member of an art center and donating to charities. If he can do that he could have simply refunded $338 and avoid drama. If you are thinking of using college hunks located in Weymouth, be warned that your items might get damaged, you might get bribed, but you definitely won’t get a refund. In my honest opinion, this college hunks location is a waste of time and will take your money and laugh at you for doing it. Their new motto should be; If it’s not damaged, we might damage it and then ask you if you want junk removal.
These guys are the real deal. Efficient, respectful, and hard working. They were steadfast and got everything out surprisingly quickly. Everyone was happy. Ben was extremely communicative. Not only engaging in the services, but also working with the guys as well. Jermel, Collin, and Andrew were raised right. Extremely hard working and respectful. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else besides these gentleman.
I used College Hunks this morning and they were fantastic. The crew arrived right on time, wrapped and protected my furniture without being asked, and moved everything quickly but carefully. They checked in about where I wanted items, put boxes in the correct rooms, and kept a positive attitude the whole time. The final price matched the estimate and there were zero surprises. I’d absolutely use them again and recommend them to friends. Huge thank you to Francisco, Collin, & Andrew!
By far the easiest moving experience I have ever had! Ben, Jermel, and Andrew made an excelent team! Super careful with all of my belongings and even finished an hour early! I definitely know who to call anytime I move in the future.
Ben, Jermel, Collin and Andrew were all so helpful with getting rid of my box spring! They made the whole process quick and easy with no hassle on my end! If you’re looking for a good mover or even trying to get rid of something heavy, these are the guys to call!
We recently hired College Hunks to get rid of a hot tub. They arrived on time, did an exceptional job getting rid of the item and cleaned up very well. A very fair price for the work. Highly recommend, would use their services again.
