I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience today truly deserves one. I came into this Best Buy after avoiding it for months because of a bad experience about five months ago. However, today completely changed my opinion all thanks to a wonderful sales advisor named Osa or Bosa in the checking out. She was so patient, friendly, and helpful. From the moment she greeted me with her warm smile, I could tell she genuinely cared about helping customers. I had asked another employee for assistance earlier, but they seemed uninterested and barely gave me attention. When I went to the front, Osa or Bosa noticed me right away, welcomed me, and offered to help. She quickly found exactly what I was looking for, and before I knew it, I was checked out and on my way. Her professionalism, kindness, and great conversation really stood out. Even before she attended to me, she was using translator to help a non english speaking costumer, WOW. People like her make a huge difference she completely turned my experience around. Best Buy is lucky to have her, and I wish her all the best in the future!

This review is specifically about an employee named Serge and the poor customer service I experienced. I waited over 30 minutes to get something I already knew I wanted. During that entire time, Serge never acknowledged me after initially dismissing me mid-sentence—even though I was standing at the register in plain sight. When I tried to get his attention just to ask if he could call someone to help me, Serge cut me off and said loudly to another customer, "You’re my last customer. I’m off the clock and I’m not helping anyone else." He said it clearly so that I would hear he wasn’t going to help me. Despite that announcement, he continued to help several other customers—everyone except me. Before that, I saw a woman walk out because he kept pushing an upgrade she didn’t want. As she left, he said, "She’ll be back," and when she said she wouldn’t, he made a dismissive hand gesture and told another employee, "Don’t worry about her." It was unprofessional and disrespectful. The one employee who did acknowledge me was interrupted by Serge so he could publicly scold him about a sale, which delayed me even longer. That employee tried to tell him that I had been waiting but Serge said that he had to address it then and there, while on the floor. At one point, I heard Serge coaching staff about how important Black Friday is, but good customer service should matter every day, not just when extra sales are at stake. Overall, Serge’s behavior was dismissive, unprofessional, and centered on upselling rather than helping customers respectfully. Other employees were kind, but this experience was made unnecessarily negative because of him. Management should address this—customers deserve courtesy and honest service, not to be ignored or talked over.

The sales people in the electronics department are very interesting. Went to get a low end laptop for a family member visiting from another country. He only wants to use it to browse the web. No gaming, watching videos, social media, etc. We were approached by a new hire and I told him which laptop I wanted. He asked what will it be used for and I explained to him but he was persistent on getting something more expensive. Then he said he’ll be back soon. After about 10 mins he comes back with another salesperson. He asked what the laptop will be used for and I told him. He then says all the laptops on the side that says "value" are in S Mode and that nothing can be downloaded on it. I started to laugh because I do sales too and I knew what he was trying to do. I told him that it’s fine and I know how to disable it. I can’t imagine the things they tell other customers that aren’t knowledgeable so they can get them to spend more money. When it was time to pay I didn’t even get asked if I have a Best Buy account or to enter my phone number. Terrible customer service.

369 Gateway Dr, Brooklyn, NY 11239. Terrible service, simple things laptop the guy who work at computer sector can't found divice. The front customer service man is very rude, middle section two guys i ask one of them i need a help at computer sector , and he say, you have to wait on line to been helped. Two minutes later I saw the same guy was helping other costumer at computer section. When my turn came, the best buy worker ask me what i need, and I showed him laptop I want to buy.He climb on ladder and look for laptop 10 minutes, than he vent back to another side of store again 10 minutes, then I ask him what happened, he said I can't found laptop, then he climb on ladder again start searching for laptop. Finally he said I can order it for you... I spent more than half hour for what? To hear that? I came to the store to buy a divice, to order i can do it by myself. Recommend the management very carefully look how your workers treat the customers, if they need a special training, please provide them that training.

I generally do not like Best Buys. Too much going on. But I did like this place. Smaller and cleaner than other locations but with lots of stuff. Nicely merchandised; not cluttered. A security guard at the door who was actually attentive; no phone in his hand. Plus a seemingly helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Accessible ♿️. Nice place
