I recently had Boston Solar install a solar system/panels at my home and was very satisfied. My neighbor recommended them and the whole experience was very professional from beginning to end. The team was very professional, knowledgeable, attentive and responsive. The panels look great and the installation was quick and easy. We have had a system for a little under four years. Three panels are beginning to fail, producing significantly less power than they used to. It took two months to get an appointment and they No-showed! No explanation, no call, no e-mail. I had to contact them again. New appointment was a month later. Two panels were determined to be bad, one was "repaired" with a new micro-inverter. The third panel once again became in issue in two weeks. The first two panels were approved for warranty replacement but there has been no follow up. They said they were looking for panels. I waited over a month for them to come take a look at the third panel again. I was ghosted yet again. They are not answering phone calls or e-mails.

We installed our Boston Solar system in October/November 2023. Our sales consultant, John S., was the best we worked with from any of the companies from whom we requested proposals. Boston Solar pricing was more favorable than other competitors. Our project coordinator, Victoria M, was great to work with, and kept us fully informed through the entire process. The installation crew was quick and clean and courteous. Only recommendation is that they do a quick sweep of the grounds with a magnet pick up at the end of the install, as there were a few sizable fasteners left in the lawn. The system has been up and running for a little more than a month now, and it is producing as advertised. The app provided (to monitor our production and consumption, and to look at individual panel status) is very useful. My mom thinks our house actually looks better now, with solar panels. Ha ha. We have recommended Boston Solar to those who have asked us.

So did some pretty extensive research and contacted several solar companies that wanted my business. In the end I selected Boston Solar because they are a local company with 1000's of local installs, their sales rep was fantastic and had a more in depth understanding of how to navigate our local infrastructure, rebates, etc. , and they provide 100% of the installation service and servicing of the system. Once I selected them they assigned me a project manager that has navigated the entire install, inspections and ultimately my 'turn on' with my local electric company. Their installers came yesterday, they were efficient, professional and followed all my direction as to location of pipes etc. and were done in one day. So I would highly recommend this company if you are thinking about going solar in the Boston area.
