Complete Solar

Do not hire this company. We have sent all documentation requested for solar service activation at Fox Point Farms and have neve heard back from them again. Followed up after two months but the thread with their activation team/representative produced no response, even after multiple attempts to follow up. Decided to call them and, to my surprise, nothing has been done to date. I got contacted by a subcontractor to schedule a photo session of the panel in a month from now. A photo session for the very same pictures I sent upon their request and they confirmed adequate receipt months ago. I understand there are multiple other homeowners with the same problem.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wish I would’ve took The time to review this company before I hired them, because the two star rating definitely speaks for itself, I’m truly surprised it’s not lower. Between the poor installation, the damage to my home and the general willingness to help it has been an absolute disaster and nightmare for me. I had more people scheduled to come fix things and no-show on me that I cared to count. I’ve spoke to several people claiming to be either managers or escalation department, whatever their title were and nothing has been fixed. Even after leaving a bad review with a Better Business Bureau, it didn’t seem too much affect them. This company does not care. They will steal your money and run and leave your house in shambles. Please do not go through this company.

Update at the bottom!!! Original review: As for me everything was amazing up untill i was told by the installer that i was missing a sub back up panel to function properly. Since then i feel i have an incomplete solar system. I spoke to mirian who confirmed i am indeed missing the sub back up panel and promised to send someone out my way but now she completely avoids my messages and emails. I try to maintain good hopes with this company because everything was good and worked well so far. I hope someone will reach out and fix this problem. I will leave another review with an update to let you all know how it goes from here. As far as the money i was promised. I was also told it will be be sent out in january. I will keep you all updated on how that goes as well. UPDATE: THEY WON'T RESPOND ABOUT THE MONEY THAT WAS PROMISED 1500 THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE.SENT IN JAN. THEN AUG... NOW THEY GHOSTED ME!! Everything was amazing up untill this point! Business is business and I hate liars!! Julian Franco is a scam!! I'm so disappointed rn! Update: sooo this company really is about customer satisfaction!!! They sent someone out right away!!! A very knowledgeable tech named Colton!! He is super friendly and he carefully reviewed my whole system and handled my issues promptly!! Hands down this guy deserves his applause!! Also I really appreciate the line of communication I had with Stacy who answered all my issues in an expedited manner. I feel that choosing complete solar was the best choice because of the way they tackled my issues. And i cant express my customer satisfaction in just one review! Truly deserve more than five stars!!! Super happy with all my installer's who installed my panels too!!complete solar even put a fence around my whole system for safety. They truly went over and beyond in regards to customer satisfaction!!!!

Do not use Complete Solar. They have the worse customer service and they can't coordinate schedules with customer, utility company, city inspector or their workers. They have been fined by utility company twice and because they don't pay the fines or the fee that is required by the utility company, we can't move forward. We have had solar panels on our roof for over a year, but still need electrical panel upgrades for two properties. No one ever returns our calls or emails. Also, don't trust My Smart House. They sold us the solar and then contracted Complete Solar to do the work. My Smart House is just as bad. Horrible customer service. They never know what's going on, if they call back, which is rare. This is ridiculous! Everyone I know that has gotten solar has never had the problems we are dealing with between Complete Solar and My Smart House. Update August 24, 2025. Well, Complete Solar is now SunPower. One property just got completed. It took two years!!! My original property is still not finished (2 years 3 mons) and now SunPower is giving me two options, 1. Cancel the contract and finish ourselves or 2. Continue with upgrade but get charged extra. Neither is an option for me. Looking for an attorney and I will be filing complaints with appropriate agencies.

Terrible experience with this company in which Dr Horton builders trusted to be their solar contractors on their new build community. They told me I’ve been waiting 2 months for activation because the utility company has yet to return my permission to operate and to just sit tight and "keep waiting". It turns out they had put in erroneous information for my address they submitted (completely on my PTO and now tell me they will wait and resubmit only to have to wait more time for activation. Now the utility company tells me they sent them my approval over a week ago……Still waiting to months later paying ultra high electric bills from my 2 EV cars mostly and still no confirmation my panels are activated. Oh and good luck waiting over an hour listening to their hold music for the activation department to answer. Please find another solar contractor that actually follows up with their customers AFTER they receive their thousands of dollars from you!

I had solar installed on my home back in August of 2024, yet I still pay a full electric bill through Edison to this day. Supposedly my panels need a final inspection before activation, but Complete Solar has failed to send anyone out to do so. Trying to get a hold of someone within this company is close to mission impossible, but if you get lucky and speak to someone, they simply give you the runaround. Overall a very unprofessional experience and unfortunately there seems to be no respect for their customers. Thus far it has been a total waste of time, effort, and money. I will be filing a complaint with the CSLB as it appears Complete Solar is unable to resolve any issues.

Complete Solar did a fine job with our installation. They replaced our roof as well (the cost was included in the loan and they arranged everything). Near the end of the process, they became less responsive and I had to push a bit via email (to which they always replied promptly) to get the final steps completed, hence the loss of one star, but otherwise, they were great.
