Con Edison Brooklyn

the name fits! Con is a terrible company. They overcharged me $800 and will not give me an explanation. Now they are threatening to shut off my electricity. The usage is probably before I moved in. They will not give me the dates of the meter readings. This utility company should be investigated.

I’ve lived in 4 different large cities so I’ve experienced all sorts of utility companies. Con Ed is by far the most incompetent and unethical in their business practices. A system error accidentally turned off my electricity while I was on vacation. I came back to hundreds of dollars of spoiled food. con ed admitted fault and had me file a claim for reimbursement. It’s been months and no reimbursement. I’ve called multiple times and received no answer. Their mistake costed me a lot of money. In addition, when I moved here and set up my account over the phone, the customer service rep created 2 accounts for me under the same address. I was being billed 2x under 2 accounts. It absolutely made zero sense and took 1hr on the phone with Con Ed to clear up. Con Ed over charges for electricity. My bill has never been remotely this high anywhere else I’ve lived.

My meter was broken. They never told us until a year later that they were guessing how much they were billing us. (Bills would be anywhere from $60 all the way to $15) Then one day they sent a bill for almost a thousand dollars and said it was due the next week. I called asked questions got hung up on twice then had someone tell me there was nothing they could do. I ended up having to get a payment plan to pay back money because they chose to not fix a mistake for over a year.

THE WORST COMPANY EVER!! They never know whats going on with your account they only know how to charge you more and always blame it on them not being able to read the meter when they actually never come to read the freaking meter

Bunch od useless people! Seriously, Con Ed is the worst company ever! Thought America is not a 3rd world country! What a shame for Con Ed !!!! And America!!!!!
