Been storing here for over 10 years. Ms. Andrea thank you for always being a sweetheart. Your efforts don't go unnoticed. Thank you for staying on top of my payments for me and going out your way to make sure a old man like me doesn't pay any late fees. I used to store things at this location when it was owned by a different company. This experience was exponentially better than my past under the current ownership. Space is clean and well-maintained. The woman working at the front desk was pleasant and professional, and was able to help us rent in appropriate space for our needs.

Pictures speak louder than words: DO NOT RENT A UNIT FROM THIS STORAGE FACILITY. Ceilings leak, belongings completely ruined by mold, no help or recourse offered by management I chose Life Storage because they advertise that they are a climate controlled, safe place to store your items and they have an elevator. The unit cost 242$ a month. I've been renting it for more than a year while abroad. I came back to collect my things, the unit was flooded, and EVERYTHING was covered with putrid water and mold from a leak in the ceiling. When I told the manager he did not seem surprised and did not even want to take a look at it with me. Just told me to file a claim to the insurance. I was told that this was a frequent occurrence in the basement units by another employee. I was told I have two days to move out before the next monthly payment was due, even though the unit is completely flooded - not to mention insects that have eaten their way into heavy duty plastic slip cover bags with zippers. On top of this… The elevator is out of order. In my unit I have incredibly heavy items that need to be moved to a safe place on wheels. It cannot be moved up the stairs. So I asked if it would be possible to move them to an empty unit until the elevator starts working. Staff member told me it was not possible, we had to empty the unit before the due date, otherwise we would be charged the total 242$ for our stuff to remain in the leaking unit. So, to sum it up: 1. 3146$ paid in rent 2. Water leaks from the ceiling, completely damaging and destroying everything. 3. Elevator is broken. Unable to evacuate the unit 4. Told I have to CONTINUE to pay for the unit despite the fact that the unit completely wet with dirty water and mold and insects have eaten through all boxes and gotten inside plastic casings. 5. No offer for a new temporary unit, no attempt to fix the leak, no recompense of any kind.

Thanks to Andrea F. I was able to rent a storage on 45 Clinton Ave. Brooklyn. She was amazing and very helpful. Also the young man that showed me the storage that same day September 2, 2025 they were both wonderful.

Britney was such a kind and helpful clerk! I set out today intending on getting a bit of boring information on the storage space, but when I arrived her efficiency and on-the-dime knowledge of the space made the interaction easy to understand and engaging. Bonus, we secured just the storage space my family needed! I look forward to coming back, knowing I’ll get quality service and a warm welcome. 😀

DO NOT RENT HERE. I recently returned from two years abroad to collect all of my belongings only to find out that there had been water damage that occurred more than 3 months prior. I was never notified about this accident and the total damage to all of my belongings could have been rectified earlier. The black mold that grew on my mattress, couch, clothing, and books is a serious health issue and everything needed to be thrown away. I have called the service number more than 10 times since this happened hoping to get a hold of the district manager, Jermaine Douglass, but have never once gotten a call back. I've also reached out to the main company website without return. My unit was on the 3rd floor and I have heard this affected more then 65 units on every level—you'll start seeing more of these reviews as more people return to find everything they own was damaged. You can see the photo of the hole that opened up in the ceiling above my unit. Save yourself.
