This place is absolutely atrocious. They must have new owners and we walked into our storage to find mouse droppings everywhere. Never had this ever happened before. Then we noticed the mouse traps everywhere. We were never notified that this was an issue. We brought it up to the front desk and they just said to write the company and we never got a response back. He acted like this was a normal thing to happen. We pay a lot of money for a big storage and should have gotten better service than this. Now we have to go through all our precious family items to make sure things are not totally ruined and find a new place to store. This is not the only problem I have had here either. They close way too early and leave you no access to your things. I had an emergency for stored items and kindly asked for a moment because the website say they close at 7 and it was 630 they wouldn’t help me at all. UPDATE********* Since the original review. WE HAVE EMAILED TWICE WITH NO RESPONSE. I would appreciate a name or number to reach someone directly. 6/19/25
I’d like to personally leave a review for Jessica at the Glendale location as she helped me through the inconvenience procedure of ending my storage unit rental. I had emptied out my storage unit beginning of October and contacted the customer service line to notify what would be the next steps and whether there is anything from my end that was required. I was told no need to do anything but call the location of where your storage unit was and notify them you have emptied out your storage unit. I followed suit and called several times but no answer and left several voicemails. Then I kept receiving out standing bills and this morning a lien fee of $120 that would be added to the outstanding balance should I not pay it. My husband went to the store in hopes of finding a representative as there is barely anyone there and low and behold we got help from Jessica who advised us to email her every detail of this inconvenient process and she would personally take care of it. I emailed her the details and by this afternoon received the confirmation that my unit is no longer being used and that I was not going to be held responsible for any outstanding fees. She even called me to notify me that she sent me this confirmation via email. This is what you call professionalism and efficiency! I appreciate her help so much!
I am writing this review for the excellent service that was awarded to me by Mr. Hakeem and Mr. Chris. I had two storage units there for about 2-3 years and though I was not there often, I was always helped by the lovely personnel there. However, due to cost and the availability to my unit, I had to make the difficult decision to leave despite the great customer service and the distance to my home (it was about a 15-minute drive). When I had to close out my units, I made sure to sweep it out and leave it neat. Mr. Chris, who I have spoken to on the occasions I was there, was so pleasant and helpful. Mr. Hakeem, who closed out my account, did make me aware of units that were available after the work hours; however, I could not make use of them as I need a unit that is climate controlled. They both were so pleasant and did try to persuade me to stay, but I had already moved the majority of my belongings to my new unit. They had me laughing the whole time and I was truly disappointed to have to leave. I never had any problems with that location other than the rising costs and the lack of availability outside of work hours. I would recommend the place for the great customer service and the location. The hours I leave to the person renting the unit - everyone has a different preference - what works for me may not work for someone else. Regards, Nica
Jessica was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was incredibly patient, helpful, and made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. She took the time to show us multiple units, answered all our questions clearly, and ensured we found exactly what we needed. Her professionalism and kind attitude really stood out. Highly recommend working with her!
Hakeem and Christopher made the experience of moving so easy and convenient that it was almost fun. They made sure I had everything and assisted me with all my needs. And they were great company! Funny, energetic and considerate. They make an A1 team. Very lucky to have them at the face front of your company. They define and embody cube smart as a whole! I will definitely be coming back to the Glendale location for all my storage needs! These are your guys, take care of them!
This place is disgusting I’ve been storing at this location for 4 years and giving them chance after chance and I’m at my ends wit there have been 4 incidents with mice in my unit at this location. This has been an issue for years but now it has advanced because every time I visit my unit now I find dead mice in a trap INSIDE my unit. I NEVER STORE FOOD IN MY UNIT EVERRRRRR!!! Because they asked me this the first time it was so bad that as I’m complaining someone else is complaining about the same issue inside their unit you can tell they do not clean because I have seen the same stains on the floor for months. I speak with the district manager they claim to try and find you a solution and NEVER HEAR FROM them again. They say oh I apologize for your inconvenience and give you the generic Customers satisfaction survey response. And never fix the solution. this is just NOT WORTH STAYING and it’s too bad because I live not too far from here so it was convenient but at this point convenient is seeing no mice as I’m typing 3 more customers come in with mice in their unit!!! Do not go here for your storage needs!!!
I have been customer of this Cube Smart for a couple of years. The customer service that both Thomas and Chris showed me today was amazing. They both are an asset to your company and a pleasure to work with.
