Years ago I had an issue with one of their alternators that I purchased and they made things right. They definitely went the extra mile to make sure the unit was working as it should be. I haven't had any issues since then and I plan to install one of these alternators for every build I have. I highly recommend trying them out. Solid alternator worth every penny.

I purchased a 270 amp XP alternator directly from DC Power Inc. in May 2019. After 16 months of powering a 3000 watt audio system with dual batteries it's still performing exceptionally. From the order date until it arrived was 7 weeks. I emailed them a couple of times to check on the status of the order and received a response within a day or two. I was okay with the wait time since I was told by email the alternator was made to order. I have measured the DC amperage and voltage with Klein Amp meter, both meet the specifications advertised. The only complaint I have is the pulley wheel was machined very thin on the inside half. I have attached a photo of the alternator after 16 months of use. Well built (besides pulley wheel), still works well, smooth transaction, and meets specifications.

Waited a month parts never shipped. Was told I'd be notified when it shipped. After requesting a refund it took almost a week. No service to speak of no communication at all. Very disappointed. I will No longer doing business with any California based companies. Worse than China now days

I purchased a DC Power Engineering XP270 for my Scion XB in 2012 and I got the alternator and it was beautiful there was a lil problem something was out of alignment inside do to ruff shipment( thanks UPS ). They promptly sent me a return label and it was off and got fixed and was back in a jiffy in excellent sharp, I installed it and it was unknown at the time that the solid pulleys when installed on the brand new 2012 scion XB did not play well lol 3 AC compressors later and an angry Toyota reluctant warranty replacements’. I talking with DC engineering and talking with Toyota we discovered it needed a decoupler pulley to take belt noise out of the serpentine system, and wala that fixed everything DC engineering promptly sent me the correct pulley. Then tragedy struck my brand new car was T-boned and totaled I had pulled the alt out just days before the accident and put the stock one back in as my car was going in for service and Toyota want all OEM parts in it for services so I obliged well death to my car but it deployed all the air bags and I had minor bruises and scrapes. I immediately purchased another 2012 scion XB and my wonderful Alt sat in its box for 7 years as I was crippled my debut and could not afford to finish out my Audiophile build and did not reinstall my DC alternator with its now correct pulley. 7 years later and a motor cycle wreak settlement later I am finally out from under all my debut and I resume my car audio dream I pull the alt out and I begin examining it and I notice there is a slight wobble to the shaft of the alt. I know things will need to be replace I contact DC Engineering and they totally take care of me and say just send it to us we will take care of you….. I’m floored they are being so cool about everything no hassle no nothing just hey yea send it to us and well hook you up man. I am literally going to buy another one to sit on a shelf. And wait for this one to wear out and I will swap it out immediately… Don’t bother looking around for High performance alternators these are the guys for you. They stand behind their product with a big smile because they know they have you back!

After struggling for the last year with another local brand, I finally pulled the trigger on DC Power. I was familiar with the name for years now but was hesitant because the price is higher than other options on the market. Now I am so glad I did. This is installed in a '94 Civic with a Turbo B18C, and redline set to 9k RPM. The previous brand couldn't handle more than one or two trips to redline without burning up. The DC Power unit has survived more than a few drives now and I am confident it will last. Quality of the piece is evident and the extra cost is definitely understandable when compared to other brands I have seen. Even when I had lingering wiring issues I was unaware of, DC Power had support on the phone with me in the same day to help me work it out. Cant thank them enough for solving what seemed like an impossible task of keeping my battery charged.

While it will be a few weeks before I get to install the alternator on my old D21 and fabricate a new system into the truck, I am very excited that my alternator arrived timely and within the timeframe discussed. Customer service and sales is very easy to work with, and I felt like the understood my expectations. I had an issue with the shipping carrier, and multiple members of DC Power Inc stepped in to help me locate the package, and ultimately sped up the carrier's careless response, and finally got the alternator to me. I hope that I don't have to bother DC again, but I feel completely comfortable knowing I have their support if necessary. Thank you DC power for my custom built alternator, and the truly exceptional, proactive customer sales and after sales/service support. Top notch.

Let me start by stating that anyone rating this company less than five makes absolutely no since whatsoever. I just picked up the alternator and it is amazing. The quality and craftsmanship is superior. They take the time to explain everything in detail. Very professional and polite. Now it’s time to install this amazing piece of machinery. Thanks DC.
