DeVere Insulation

I've gone back and forth about this review, but after recommending DeVere to a family member and them having a similar experience, I felt I needed to leave one. This is long-winded. Our insulation was done at the end of last year. Everyone I dealt with was lovely, that wasn't the issue. The lack of communication on all fronts was horrid. The person who came out and gave our quote didn't relay info to the office, the people who did the work, or the inspector. The office never knew what was going on, no matter how many times I called. The workers didn't know what they were supposed to be doing, even though I called multiple times. And the inspector inevitably failed the work that was done. The insulation used was half of what was paid for, in the basement. The attic didn't have full coverage in the areas needed. And no one knew how to properly vent our bathroom fan, it had to be redone multiple times. Again, I called over and over to provide clarity and to be given clarity, and it never happened. I eventually gave up trying. The insulation install was fine, after eventually getting all that was paid for. The bathroom fan still annoys me. We were required, by them, to get an expensive fan that was way too big for the small bathroom we have and they vented it in the wrong spot and to where it worked at less than half capacity. They ended up changing the vent cap and it works at ~70% capacity, the best they could do. The people were all kind and tried to be helpful. But when no one knows what's going on, there's only so much they can do. The work done, when actually completed, was fine. The rest of the experience tainted any better review than it all being just...fine. And learning this wasn't a one off, considering my family member had a similar experience, I really want to urge the company to work on making sure everyone involved in the process of each individual job has more of an understanding of what is going on. It's beyond frustrating otherwise.

I highly recommend DeVere Insulation!! We were connected with them through our Greenworks Energy Audit, and they came out to insulate both of our attics. We live in an older home, and the attics hadn’t been touched in years- this was definitely not an easy job, especially in the record-breaking heat of the summer. Jesus and his team were absolutely AMAZING. They were hardworking, respectful of our home, and incredibly meticulous. They found and addressed several issues we weren’t aware of, going above and beyond what we expected. We will be having them back soon to encapsulate our crawl space! We highly recommend them for your insulation needs!

DeVere was recommended but I attempted to deal with two other companies for my attic/roof spray foam repair job. I was crazy to even think of dealing with others. One spray foam company wanted a dozen pictures and other details and then estimated the spray foam job over the phone at double what DeVere did for a full in person estimate. That other company never returned my messages after giving me the I don’t want that job price estimate. One other company took so long to give me an estimate that DeVere had already done the estimate and job before they could get out to provide an estimate. DeVere’s whole team is very professional, good timely estimate, quality spray foam job, great prep and clean up. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I can now install my fiberglass insulation and drywall in my garage after my roof repairs. Thank you so much team DeVere

Warning: Harassment and Spam Calls I have never contacted or done business with this company, yet they somehow obtained my work phone number. They have spam-called me repeatedly—three times in a row, multiple days in a row—disrupting my ability to keep my work line open for legitimate calls. After I finally told them to stop, they began texting my work phone from different numbers, advertising services I do not need and never requested. The calls and texts are still ongoing. This behavior is unprofessional, invasive, and unacceptable. I strongly advise against providing this company with your contact information or engaging with them in any way. Do not support scammers or spam call operations.

I want to say how awesome DeVere's service was. I was scheduled quickly, and the foam was applied methodically and correctly in layers. Not only that, but I paid to entirely fill my stud and rafter bays, and it's required because of the way foam is applied to have a small air gap that isn't filled, since you can't make foam totally flat. DeVere went above and beyond, actually slightly over filling certain areas so that NO area was below what I had paid for. They taped off beautifully and cleaned up wonderfully. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Here is a photo of just one small area, showing how they cut off the excess, but they also did an entire large room.

Worked with Bert to have the attic of my 100 year old row home insulated and made habitable. Very easy to talk and work with Bert and his team. Final product was excellent and was the lowest price I received by a considerable amount.

I had DeVere increase my blown in attic insulation from the R30 depth that I used when I built my house in 1997, to a more energy efficient R49 depth. The DeVere crew was detail oriented, responsive to my questions, and did a thorough job in all 3 of my attic spaces. Pricing for the project from DeVere was highly competitive. I would not hesitate using DeVere in the future should the need arise.
