out of power from tree limb and duke energy doesn't make reconnection a priority - people living in the house, well water so no water without power, going on three days so food in fridge all trash, 90+ heat for almost 3 days. They were out in 30 min to disconnect, guess that's their priority People say to lie and say you have a baby or elderly person on oxygen to get reconnected faster, you shouldn't have to, every reconnection after a storm should be a priority. Next time I'll just leave the tree limb on the line till it rots away

Got off work the morning of 07/26/25, I went to sleep and woke up to uncomfortable heat approx 10:50am . Received a notification from the energy company saying that the power was going to be out for a few hours and will be turned back on at 3pm. Couldn’t shower couldn’t eat food. Had to worry about food in the Refrigerator not spoiling. They sent out another message that it wouldn’t be fixed until 6 PM. When 6 PM came they sent out another one. Said it wouldn’t be fixed till 830. Who’s going to reimburse perishables. What took so long. The high temperature today was in the hundreds and the heat index was higher than that. Piss poor updates, im very disappointed. Do better. If i could give negative Stars or take away the current rating overall then i would

I feel incredibly stupid shouting into the void but here goes. I moved in April to a new apartment and created a new account. I setup the autopayment for this new account that was identical to my old autopayment using duke energy. Completed my move. When my old apartment's lease was up, duke energy closed the account as I requested but removed ALL of my autopay info including for my current apartment. A token late fee and a ding on my credit report later, I called in twice to understand why this happened but both representatives could not comprehend any basic question that I asked. They read from scripts and refused to transfer me to anyone that could help me or at the least prevent this from happening to someone else. Even trying to do the right thing; you still lose. Sums up Duke Energy and North Carolina in general.

Instead of paying their CEO $20+ million per year, when will Duke update/reinforce infrastructure and/or hire and pay more employees so that power outages with them will be less frequent? They are a monopoly, and provide a service upon which many people's lives depend, especially during both very cold and very hot temperatures.

The power bills are unreal!! I have never had such a high electric bill in my life!! If I could lose the Electric I would for sure. Duke sucks because they think everyone is rich.

Our transformer blew out last night on our house on Willett Road. Duke Energy was called and a technician came shortly after our call. Then a team of technicians came and repaired it within several hours! God bless each and every one who responded and fixed the problem! From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️
