I’ve personally had a plethora of issues with my own residential account through duke energy. Increasing rates, horrible customer service, all the things we’ve all grown accustomed to. The business experience team is even worse. I received a notice that payment was required for an account in the business’s name, but both the account number (aside from last 4 digits) and service address were not included in the request for payment. As of right now, I’ve currently been on hold for over 30 minutes so the employee helping me can "find my account" and they haven’t returned once to check in or provide any update whatsoever. 30 minutes to simply find one account - you’re kidding, right? Truly a pathetic excuse for any type of organization. EDIT: It has now been over an hour with zero attempt from the representative to even take themselves off hold to provide literally any type of update.

We have a whole house generator and Buckeye Power detected our gas pressure to be low resulting in issues with the generator operating. I called Duke and my call was answered promptly and the request processed efficiently. The call service operator told me someone will be out within 3 hours. In less than 30 minutes I had a Duke technician - Mark - who arrived. He was extremely pleasant and professional. He connected gauge and instructed me to turn on the gas stove to utilize gas service. I then initiated a full load test of the generator. He set the pressure properly. All you hear from people are what seems to be horror stories about Duke Energy. I wanted to take the time to share my positive experience. Thank you.

If I could give zero stars, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD! Evil is playing with the wrong one today. Y'all are out of your minds. We have had service since April, when we moved, and at the beginning of June, we payed our bill, like normal and less than 2 weeks later, landlord called and said it suddenly gets shut off and transferred back into their name. BUT here is the catch, we didn't do it and mind you, we have kept our account positive. So I called immediatley and spent 3 hours on the phone with 3 different people who couldn't tell me why or how it got shut off but it was successfully put back in our name. Yesterday evening, we get a bill that says we are being charged almost 400 dollars! I guess I'm taking legal action! Because absolutely not!

The power is constantly going out. It’s literally once a month. The wind isn’t even going it’s midnight and power is out until 4 AM. Why do we pay $500 a month if the power is this unreliable? Do better Duke.

Dealing with Duke Energy is like dealing with Mental Health Patients who are off their meds. Ive made six (6) attempts to get all my accounts on the same profile and their either egar to go to lunch or give off energy that they could care less concerning your issues. If this isn't correct by Monday I will be complaining to the State regulators.

Power goes out when someone sneezes. Keeps raising the bill to subsidize their NC & FL infrastructure issues, not counting the infrastructure issues they have here in OH. Absolute BS that we can have another serviced or hold Duke accountable in any way to fix this BS. Power out 4 times this month already.
