Mr. Electric of Baton Rouge

Okay, so I just had some electrical work done at my place by Thomas and his apprentice Calvin from Mr. Electric, and seriously, I'm super impressed! From the moment they showed up, these guys were awesome – really professional, friendly, and they clearly know their stuff. They took the time to figure out what was going on, explained everything in a way I could actually understand, and walked me through what they were going to do before starting. Their attention to detail was top-notch, and you could tell they really cared about doing things right. Thomas and Calvin worked fast and carefully, making sure everything was perfect. Not only did they totally fix my electrical issue, but they also left the area cleaner than they found it, which was a huge bonus! What really made it great was how approachable they were. They were happy to answer all my questions, and honestly, they just made the whole experience totally stress-free. I'd absolutely recommend Thomas, Calvin, and Mr. Electric to anyone needing electrical help. Their service is seriously the best, and those two are definitely keepers for their team!

Was very easy to get an appointment scheduled. The technician was on time. Very pricey estimate. Tried to fool me into unnecessary repairs and to top it off left us with a horrible mess to clean up. I would be very cautious when using this "neighborly company".

Thomas did a great job getting my breaker box working safely. He is very knowledgeable and will assure the work is professional. Ask for Thomas when scheduling. He is punctual, polite and treats your home with respect. Thank to him my appliances are getting power again

Our technician, Ben, was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. He worked diligently to investigate the problem and then educated us on what was wrong. The only reason I'm not giving a full five stars is that the pricing was a bit high given that no actual repair work ended up being required. (Cause of not working outlet was a tripped GFCI outlet, hidden behind added cabinetry).

Price gouging!! Do not use this company before comparing prices with other companies! I had 2 appointments scheduled with Jeremy and on the day of the appointments, I received a call stating they would have to reschedule. I was very aggravated at the whole ordeal and then received a call later that morning stating they can have a tech at my house in 30 minutes. I met with Thomas Hawkins and he gave me a price of 1300.00 to hang up 2 televisions and to secure electrical wiring in my attic, then all of a sudden his price changed to 1652.00 for the work I needed done. I asked why the price changed and he stated that is what the system charged, but can give me a $75.00 discount on the price, like if that’s a lot of money off the price. He requested that half be paid and the other half will be due upon completion of the work. I called and canceled the appointment the morning of and he called me to ask why I canceled and if it was because of the price. I told him yes and that I will shop around to get a better price. He then said he could drop the price to 1252.00. Now, why was he able to give me a cheaper price then, but wasn’t able to give me that price in the beginning. Make a long story short, I hired Sal’s Electric and they came out and did the work for less! Sal’s Electric did a great job and was very professional with fair pricing!
