Foley Electric

We used Foley Electric for the installation of a light on the front of our house to illuminate our driveway and a light in our back yard to illuminate our fenced area. When the job was quoted we were offered the option to purchase our own lights and siding cover to attach to, and we opted to do that. We provided the two lights and two siding covers. Originally, we only planned to do the front to see if we were happy with the work before committing to a second project with them, but the owner said that we could save money by doing the job all in one day, so we said we would like to do that. A different person arrived to do the work, and he showed up mid-way through the day (12:30) and left at 3:30. So we didn't realize the savings of having the jobs both done on the same day after all. He came back to finish two days later. The light in the backyard was not mounted in the way we requested. No explanation was given for why it was done differently than we asked. The siding panel we purchased for the backyard was not used, but a hole was drilled in it so we were unable to return it. When we received the bill, the labor cost was a flat rate. There is a place on the invoice for rate of pay, but it wasn't used. I asked how many hours we were charged for, and at what rate, because it wasn't obvious looking at the bill. I was told the number of hours and rate, but the number of hours didn't line up with the amount of time that the person doing the work was here. When I asked about the extra hour we were billed for, I was told it was 'travel time'. The office that I was invited to pay the bill at is approximately 3 minutes from my house. Having them drive here twice cost us $70, even though the job was supposed to be done in one day. I also asked about the $100+ line item for 'materials', which surprised me since we provided the lights and the siding panels. I was told the materials used were: ‘miscellaneous conduit, connectors, coupling, romex, switches, plate, and a strap’ - but none of those items were listed on the bill. The invoice was emailed to me, and they offer no online payment options. When I asked about online options, they said they don't do online payment but I was welcome to drive to their office and pay in person. Luckily for them I don't charge $70 for that trip the way they do! We will never use Foley Electric again. I hope this review saves someone else the hassle and extra expense we incurred.

We needed electrical hookup added to our rented office space for a clothes washer. We had it installed the next day! Wow, what great service. And, the electrician Nick was very professional, dressed nicely, spoke professionally and cleaned up leaving the area cleaner than before he started. He also did a quick check of other wiring that was not done by Foley Electric to make sure all was safe and secure. Excellent service is not a thing of the past. Thank you Foley Electric.

We wanted to get an estimate for finishing the basement in our new home and Steve Foley went out of his way to contact the township inspector when he noticed the current wiring was not up to code. Some electricians didn't even mention that our electrical wasn't to code! We are so impressed by his thoroughness and dedication to helping us. We had a family member who needed the money and who could do the wiring otherwise we were going to have this awesome company do the work. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP!

Prior to recently purchasing our new home we had some issues with the inspection. The prior owners were responsible for bringing the electrical up to code. In doing so they hired Foley Electric. I was happy at the time knowing it was a professional electrical that I thought would stand behind their work. After closing we noticed the fireplace wasn't working(but did for the inspection) so we called to have a service person take a look at it. He discovered it wasn't the blower system but an electrical issue. While my electrician was looking at it realizing it was a bigger issue then the switch but with the panel. I called Foley and waited a day and a half for a call back. Come to find out as they moved items to other breakers in the panel they didn't screw down the neutral. Before even asking for compensation for the Fireplace service tech, Electrician or drywall he told me it was not responsible and I should go to the Realtor and have them take care of it. "He didn't bid the job it was time and materials." Well Mr. Foley you did get paid for the job and you refuse to stand behind it now.

Austin and his team provided high quality electrical work in our home. They were out in less than a week to complete all of our electrical projects. They were professional and courteous. Their rates were quite reasonable. We highly recommend them to any homeowner or business in need of an electrician.

Excellent service, very quick and a great value!

I called him for an estimate and I was told that somebody would call me back after giving them all of my information. It has been a week and a half now and I have not heard anything from them. They're not that busy they told me that could be there in a day or two but they had to check their schedule.
