Customer Reviews
Assurance Factor Electric has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on over 55 reviews on Google
Bill and his crew arrived timely and immediately began searching for the source of my problem. They were very thorough and located the short that was causing my outage. They also installed a chandelier which was a last minute request. Quality work at a reasonable price. Job well done. Would use again.
My experience with Assurance Factor Electric was great!! The technician was prompt(15min early)and ready to work. He installed the ceiling with expertise and did a very good clean-up! I would use this company again for my electrical needs. As a matter of fact…google is how I found them…what luck!!
Called and needed 4 electrical outlets changed toGFI. Not only did they come same day but hours after I called. I will definitely tell people to us their service's. Electrician that came was very personable and did a excellent job. Tanks again for your quick service
We needed an outdoor electrical receptacle installed ASAP, so we contacted Angi's online. We found Assurance Factor Electric as a highly rated service provider and contacted them. Bill Houser came right over, gave us a professional written quote on the spot, and finished the job the next day. It was a pleasure working with him and his crew. Their installation was exactly as promised, and they cleaned up very well before they left.
The Positives First, let's talk about what went well. Over the phone, the electrician was professional and courteous. This initial interaction was great, and it set positive expectations. He also showed up exactly when he said he would, which, as many can attest, is a huge plus and more than I can say for some other services. Appearance-wise, he looked professional, and it was good to hear him emphasize safety during our conversation. The Consultation The actual consultation, however, was where things took a turn. After a brief "hello" and me showing him the problem, the conversation became quite unusual. He spent about 30 seconds making grunts and "hmms," then oddly asked if I had a dog. I understand why he might ask, but the abruptness and lack of context felt genuinely weird. He also didn't explain anything about what he had in mind for the job or the potential challenges. It felt like he couldn't be bothered. He then told me to go downstairs first, which was a strange instruction, but I played along. Downstairs, he glanced at my breaker for a mere two seconds before looking at potential cut-out areas. When he asked what was on the other side of a staircase recess, I awkwardly told him, "Stairs." More grunts and complaints about the tight space followed. The Price & Lack of Transparency Then came the discussion of cost. He initially quoted $700 for the job. While higher than I hoped, I could somewhat understand it. However, when we went back upstairs, the price inexplicably jumped to $750. I jokingly thought, "Maybe that was the dog tax," but I immediately called him out on the reasoning for the price increase. This is where the dynamic truly shifted. He became defensive, and suddenly, I had his full attention. He snapped back that the job would typically run about $1200, which made me wonder if he initially lowballed the quote with intentions of hiking it up mid-job. When I asked him why he felt the need to be so "charitable," he stumbled, but to his credit, he eventually recovered and explained he had extra materials. Overall Overall, my impression is that while he has the look and sound of a professional and likely does great work, the in-person visit lacked the transparency and communication I'd expect. The mannerisms and the conversational style (or lack thereof) during the visit didn't sit right with me. I've been alive long enough to trust my gut when something feels off, and this interaction certainly did. Bill, this is my assessment and feedback. Not an attack. Take it as you will. Edit(7/3/2025)That was quite the scorched earth and character assassination reply. You attacked everything with falsehoods. A freshly mowed lawn with inviting decorations and a swing. A normal and clean and SLIGHTLY cluttered living space with my well behaved daughter happily coloring and you are on alert? The tail wagging SECURED Lab in a separate room in a corner nowhere near the stairs? She got excited and I quieted her with a single sentence. Never got a phone quote nor was expecting one over the phone, and my asking about pricing/reasoning being misconstrued as seeking a tutorial? That's basic information clients expect. I don't need a stranger to get tips. YouTube, AI, friends can provide that for me. This ain't 1993. Neighbors looking at you? The nice elderly man across the street that I talk to on a normal basis? Or my caring neighbor that helps us tend to stray cats? Or my other neighbor that is hard working, quiet, and was not home because he does the mid shift? Sir, either you are attacking my status or you are certainly a paranoid fella. One of two curtains were drawn to reduce TV glare. More light came from the kitchen, storm door window and other window where the job was. I'm trying to save on power over here! The owner's lengthy reply below, with its detailed and imaginative account of my home and family, speaks volumes about him more than I ever could. He should moonlight as a fictional author. I stand by my original, factual review and will not resort to fabrications and wild imaginings like Bill does.
The Assurance Factor team are always great to work with. Timely responses when communicating with them, and the service/professionalism is always top notch. Recently had an EV charger installed in my garage, and Bill & his team were great from start to finish. Would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician in the NEO area
I've used Assurance Factor Electric for all my electrical needs since 2016: moving outlets, installing a bathroom vent/light fixture, changing light switches, installing a mobile-style chandelier in my dining room and two outdoor wall light fixtures. Bill has always completed each job quickly and satisfactorily. I have always been impressed with the excellent results. When I have electrical needs or problems, I call him with confidence that the job will be completed better than I could have imagined and at a competitive price.
