Milestone Electric, A/C, & Plumbing

I have been a Milestone customer for ages, and I've never had a complaint about this company. This visit is no exception. As a Milestone Advantage Member, I get to experience great treatment at least twice per year. This visit was no exception. My tech Billy Hiesrs follows a long line of great employees Milestone has. He was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and so easy to relate to. He, like the other techs, made me want to find an excuse to make them hang around longer. Milestone, with its company values and the great personnel it employs like Billy, could be a great template for the morons (on both sides) to emulate. Thanks for the great service.

Christian was at the same time, professional and personable. He examined my needs thoroughly and worked very hard to get me the best cost he could. I would certainly recommend Christian as well as Milestone in general.

Brandon did an excellent job fixing our AC condensation issue. He was thorough, careful, and also took the time to check for any related problems to ensure everything was working properly. He was very kind, respectful, and easy to work with. The pricing was also fair and reasonable. Highly recommended!

Jacob was very detailed and professional in his assessment of my air ducts. Additionally, he was very personable and I felt completely confident in his knowledge, skills and ability. I felt like the estimate to repair my system was a little on the high side, but this had nothing to do with him as he works for a company and has to follow their policies and pricing. If the estimate had been a little more reasonable, I would absolutely 100% trust Jacob to complete the job. Thank you Jacob for being absolutely wonderful to work with!

My first encounter with Milestone was for an electrical issue. Clint came out and was great. He walked me through what he was doing and why. They are more expensive than the small companies I talked to but it was great service. Unfortunately that does not make up for what happened with the ac check included with being an Advantage member. Overall a good experience with Milestone Electric Milestone A/C I have never dealt with such a shady company. I used them the to do a GFCI replacement and made the huge mistake of signing up for their monthly plan that includes an ac checkup. From start to finish took 4 hours. Great, they are through. And then they show you a nice little video of all the findings and shock you into thinking you need a 6k repair that they don’t suggest. They recommend meeting with a "comfort specialist" aka sales men. Well I took the information and quote to the flaired professionals at Reddit, they had a field day with what was shown. A few things did need to be addressed but 90% were complete lies and sales tactics. Example/ the plenums needed to be replaced because they were styrofoam and you could push a finger through it, complete lie. They are made of duct board which is made out of fiberglass which is not the best but used everywhere in the south. They wanted over 3k to replace with metal, well metal is not widely used in the south due to condensation build up that can lead to mold and they require extra precautions. Second lie/ the wanted around $1200 to add a new 14" register and the low airflow was causing the condensation that rusted the coil, complete lie. The rust was caused by my condenser unit putting out 27° temps and causing freezing and moisture build up due to a low charge. I have a 3 ton unit with a 20x25 and a 14 x14 returns that can handle a 3.5 ton system. So with member discount it was $5600 for repair which he highly advised not to do because it will cause a freon leak. After learning the actual truth I cancelled the "comfort specialist" and got two free second quotes. I was very vague about what milestone showed and let them do their inspection. They said plenums are fine I just need to mastify the connection from plenums to air handler and recharge to proper levels and recheck in 2-3 months then go from there if it shows a leak. $400 total. Oh and the outside unit was also properly cleaned with chemicals and sprayed from the inside, milestone just sprayed water from the outside of the unit. That only pushes debris further into the coils which lead to less performance and further problems. They must be chemically treated the sprayed from the inside… to push the dirt, dust, debris OUT of the coil. When my first second opinion tech came out we talked in the entry way and he asked me to lower the ac so it runs and he can check levels. Nothing came on, air handler(inside unit) and condenser(outside unit) the tech came in and asked if I turned it on. At this point the new tech hasn’t touched ANYTHING in my home. Everything was off. We checked breakers at panel and at outside unit and nothing. So he went to attic to check voltage levels and found that the unit breaker was off….so this tech turned off my whole system in a place I never would have found the day before the salesman was coming. Maybe he just forgot but he also never checked the system after completing his inspection. That’s awfully convenient. I get all the five star reviews, they shock and awe you to go with a new system with such great deals on their overstock of r410a systems and make a great point that the new systems are 25% higher in cost. This is disgusting, praying on people and not offering any sort of reasonable repair and forcing you into a new system. Words cannot describe the absolute betrayal this highly rated company committed. Stay away, go mom and pop where none of the techs get commission. Only work with companies that strictly pay employees hourly.
