Younger Electric

FIVE STARS. My husband and I live in Lexington, but he works in Georgetown as a fireman. Younger Electric was recommended to us by one of his colleagues, and we are so grateful they were! For about two months we had been experiencing constant dimming and flickering lights. We first called a large, well-known company in the area (they had also replaced our HVAC earlier this year), and their technician quoted us between $8,000–$11,000 to replace our "outdated panel box." This was a shock, especially since we had just spent $17,000 with them. Thankfully, my husband mentioned it to his colleague—a former electrician—who felt that price sounded excessive and suggested we call Younger Electric instead. When my husband spoke with Mr. Younger directly, he not only listened carefully but also gave us an honest suggestion: before sending one of his own technicians out, we should first call KU to rule out any issues on their end. Sure enough, KU came out and discovered the real culprit—a squirrel had chewed through a wire, which was overloading one side of our panel box. Problem solved without thousands of dollars spent! We cannot thank Younger Electric enough for their honesty and integrity. In today’s world, it is rare to find a company that puts customers first instead of pushing unnecessary work. We will ONLY use Younger Electric for any and all electrical needs going forward, and we will gladly recommend them to all of our family and friends. If you’re looking for an electrician you can trust—this is the company.

After reaching out to 3 local companies without a call back, We had Nate and Brad from Younger come do an electrical assessment at our home today. Absolutely great service and professionalism. Found several issues that they took care of immediately. It was a pleasure to do business with Younger. I’ll recommend them every chance I get.

We called Younger Electric to install a temporary electric pole on new property earlier this summer. We called at a busy time but were given a quote that was so much more reasonable than any of their competitors so, we agreed to wait a bit. They called a few days ahead to schedule and once there, completed the job quickly, we paid the quoted price (no hidden fees!!!) on the spot, and they were on their way in no time. Don't take my word for it, I highly suggest doing your research and seeing the difference for yourself. If you have to wait, the service is worth it. They are honest, courteous, and were both respectful of the property and presented themselves respectfully. We are very grateful that Younger Electric was able to help us when we were in a panic about what to do. We will not hesitate to use them in the future.

I did not engage work with Younger Electric. I called Younger and discussed my electrical issue with Nancy Younger, who recommended a local appliance repair business that would better meet my needs. She did not need to do this. I appreciate her taking the time to call me and make a repair recommendation.

Younger Electric always does such a great job. I have worked with them on numerous occasions. They do a top notch job and I would highly recommend them!

Had these guys come out to look at my overheating main breaker. Unfortunately for me the panel was from the 80's and was going to be very hard finding a replacement so had them replace and update to a new panel. Great service, the guys that came out were able to let me use their small generator, so I did not lose anytime for work. They had it all replaces and out in one day, cleaned up after. Could not have asked for more.

I really appreciated Nate and Brad for all the hard work they did to address and fix my electrical issues. I really don't think anyone else could have handled the tough mess that someone else created.
