Hometown Electrical Doctor

I’ve had a great experience working with Hometown Electrical Doctor on my whole-home rewire project. Their pricing was the most competitive quote I received—coming in $5,000 to $12,000 cheaper than other estimates—which was a huge plus. The team has been incredibly knowledgeable, especially when it comes to electrical codes and permitting, and they’ve taken the time to explain everything clearly throughout the process. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and respectful of my home. So far, they’ve completed a service upgrade from 100 to 200 amps, trenched new power lines, and rewired my garage, including installing a dedicated EV charger. They’ve been flexible and accommodating with all the changes and additions I’ve requested along the way, handling everything without issue. I haven’t had any problems so far, and I’ll be updating this review once the full rewire is complete, including the removal of old knob and tube wiring throughout the house. My technicians were both extremely good at their jobs. They were very knowledgeable and helpful, giving me tips and recommendations. They added backer plates on 3 light fixtures and switched out 2 outlets in my garage. I will definitely have Home Town Electrical Doctor here again for more work that I need in the future.

Chris and Stephen and their crew were professional, courteous and polite. They were awesome in covering and explaining the work that would be completed prior to starting, keeping me updated throughout the day, and touring with explanation the work they completed. I was appreciative for the heads-up when securing power and also keeping the time to a minimum. Expert work followed by a thorough clean up. I would highly recommend their service for anyone needing skillful electrical work.

Matt and Gabe were super duper! The entire process was very easy as most of our communication was via text: reminders, date and time scheduled, etc. They also kept everything spic n span, wearing boot protection and even vacuuming up the drywall they had to cut out. I had a light switch that upon thorough examination had a ground wire being used as a hot wire. Extremely dangerous. They ran new wire from the switch to the junction box. All is working perfect and much safer. I will only use Hometown Electrical Doctor!

UPDATE: 4/21/2025. Had these guys out for a new project. Kept us informed of en route times and did a great job again; cleaned up behind themselves, respectful and supportive. Wish we could take them when we move out of state. Updated post:8/8/2024... Had an electrical need, they fit us into their schedule! Top notch guys again!! Original post: Met this Company at the Cleveland Home Improvement show at the IX center. We asked them to come out and just look at what might need to be done as we are selling the house and wanted to have all things up to date with no house inspection surprises. Chris went through the whole house, wrote up the electrical safety checklist sheet. Went over everything. They were courteous, on time, texted, emailed and called for reminders, etc. I apologize, I don't remember the other gentleman's name, but he ALSO was very polite, courteous. Kurt R was awesome! Amazing, efficient, and enlightening (hehe). Completely transformed the look of my place with some new light fixtures. He and the other technician (sorry I don’t remember your name!) removed the old fixtures and assembled and installed 5 new ones. I love the new look!!! Thanks guys!! Chris and Jose arrived as promised and quickly evaluated the project. They provided and explained the quote for installing a Ring doorbell and floodlight. Installation was efficient and they were invaluable in assisting with installing the Ring app and setting up the options. I have used Hometown Electrical Doctor for previous projects and have been completely satisfied. They are my go to electrical contractor.
