After years of thinking about it, I finally took the plunge to remove knob and tube from a 2 family home. After a bit of research and recommendations from other electricians, I went with Gibbons Electric. Gibbons did an amazing job. They explained what to expect, took great care working in my home and cleaned and patched the holes. They were very punctual and the the whole process went way better than expected. So glad I made the decision to move forward. Highly recommend.

We recently hired Gibbons Electric to install a whole-house surge protector and higher-amp outlets in our basement. The entire process—from scheduling to installation and inspection—was smooth and professional. After the initial work was completed, I realized I had made an error in part of my original request. Ken helped resolve the issue quickly and cost-effectively—even though the mistake was mine and Gibbons Electric had no obligation to step in, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Gibbons Electric for anyone in need of electrical work in the Boston area. Gibbons recently completed two projects at my home: a service upgrade necessary to support the installation of an induction stove and the installation of recessed lighting. For both projects, Gibbons was highly competitive on price, reliable in terms of scheduling and timetable, and communicative about what was being done. The finished work was high quality. (I previously had another firm install lighting fixtures in another room, which left a hole in the ceiling that I needed to patch and dust everywhere. Not the case with Gibbons.) Owner Ken Sparrow oversaw the service upgrade. He is very personable and cares deeply about his customers having a positive experience. It was clear from working with the rest of his crew this is a company value Gibbons prioritizes.

Gibbons Electric did an excellent job of making room in our breaker box and installing wiring and an outlet for an electric dryer. The estimate was affordable and accurately assessed the challenges of getting wiring from the basement to the second floor of an old two-family house. The estimator, electrician, and assistant were punctual, knowledgeable, and good communicators. I highly recommend Gibbons. There were no surprises; the process was seamless.

Ken was very no-nonsense in analyzing what I needed to update the wiring in a small kitchen and install a range hood. His team was very polite and professional. They explained what they had to do, where they needed to make changes to the original plan and suggested what else might be needed. They cleaned up the worksite and patched up where they needed. I would recommend them for jobs big or small.

Gibbons installed an EV charger for us this fall; we were very happy with the experience. Easy to communicate with, prompt & timely work, reasonable rates. I would definitely recommend.
