Not the program for new students or people looking for a career change. They only accept people that have at least 450 hours of electrical construction work experience, or successfully completed two or more post-secondary, industry related classes. Save your $25 & any money you spend on test prep. You can pass the exam but will be denied for experience. I can confirm this is happening to others as well. Highly do not recommend putting all of your eggs into one basket. I understand the method but this could be told on the front end .
If you don't have prior experience in the electrical field or if you don't have any family in the union don't waste your time trying to get an apprenticeship. You can pass the aptitude test and interview decently well but will get denied for lack of experience.
Great place to learn quality electrical skills to pay the bills.
I went through the program and it was the best decision I've ever made in my life. To be able to provide for my family and not living pay check to pay check is truly a blessing thanks to IBEW LU.474 and the jatc
The school is the best in electrical training. I recommend it to anyone who is looking to get into the electrical field.
