Today a crew installed Solar Panels at my resident in Lisle, IL (Angela C.). I am more than satisfied with the results. The Team arrived according to schedule, was very professional, walked me through the installation process, checked with me on several occasions to make sure I was pleased with work performance, and they were also very respectful of my home (removed or covered shoes, placed plastic covering on the floors, cleaned up debris inside the home and in the yard, courteous of noise level as I worked remotely). A very special "Thank You" to Kevin, Joe and Nick for going the extra mile! They were friendly, provided excellent customer service (I am known to be meticulous), made any reasonable accommodations and kept me informed throughout the process no matter how minor the detail. Job Well Done!!!
We had a great experience with Greenlink from beginning to end. The sales person was very helpful. The planning staff and office staff are responsive and polite. Installation was scheduled faster than I thought it would be, and the installation team was terrific. They worked very efficiently on some of our hottest days of the summer, and yet managed to be polite, responsive, competent, and pleasant. I don’t use subcontractors; they did the job themselves. We felt completely at home having them In and around our house. Finally, they’ve been very responsive in getting the post installation incentives and rebates that are part of the package. We had a great experience.
They were easy to work with, got the job done quickly and professionally, and have been great about answering any questions I have after the installation is complete. Their work is very clean and the panels look great, no extra conduits snaking across the roof and the panels are all nicely arranged. The in-office staff walked me through the process and answered all of my questions without the condescension I got from other salesmen. I liked that they are local and have been in business doing electrical and insulation work as well as solar for much longer than other companies I got quotes from. I would and have recommended GreenLink to friends and family.
Greenlink was recommended in a county project for solar panels. I figured if the county chose them they must be a good company. Jesse put a proposal together and answered any questions we had. Jesse was very knowledgeable and thorough.
Unfortunately, after $6,000 later, our home heating bill is not more cost efficient, nor did the blown in insulation help to improve our home temperature levels. Which we were told by staff, the blown insulation service would be beneficial for those issues we were experienced in our home. Yes, the staff was polite, and they finish the service in a timely manner. Although I returned home from lunch a little early and observe the workers sitting around. My personal advice to anyone who's looking to insulated home. Find a do-it-yourself video and purchase your own materials. You will save yourself a lot of money and disappointment. Also, the blown-in insulation was distributed throughout our home very sparingly. We definitely did not get $6,000 worth of installation
Greenlink installed my solar system one year ago and I feel confident in leaving an extremely positive review. They were actively involved at every step of the process. I'll start with Austin, he is the owner and he does a great job at running his company and doing right by the customer. He has built a work place where the employees feel like family and you can tell people genuinely love working there - which makes a huge difference in outward customer service. Tom was my sales person and he was professional, explained all options, and answered my many questions. The software Greenlink uses for estimating solar panel needs was spot on. The generation was exactly what they said it was and I have had 8 months straight of negative Comed bills, which come in the form of monetary credits to your account. You then use this credit from the excess summer generation (when the sun is at its strongest) and use the credits in the winter when the panels are covered in snow or cloudy, which results in a net zero bill year round! Their in house installation team headed by Brian and Dave were amazing, arriving on time and working their butts off to install the panels in a professional and clean manner - no conduit showing, perfect alignment, everything working perfectly, tidy cleanup, and most importantly no leaks. Lee Anne was the success coordinator who did the project scheduling, rebate processing and was general contact for anything that I had questions on. They sell two kinds of systems, Solar Edge and Enphase. While it cost a little more, I choose Enphase because of the scalability and cutting edge technology used. The main difference is Solar Edge uses a central inverter (expensive and only lasts 10-12 years, make sure to get the extended warranty Greenlink offers for cheap) with power optimizers on each panel. Enphase uses microcontrollers on the back of each panel and converts DC (solar) to AC at the panel. While this is slightly less efficient by nature, it's much safer than running one high voltage DC line through your attic to a central inverter in your basement. Enphase is also more future proof - if panel technology output doubles in 10 years I can simply add as few or many panels as I want where as Solar Edge you have a limit with your central inverter, you'd have to possibly add another inverter or replace existing one with one that can handle higher loads. If your Solar Edge inverter goes bad, you lose all production - it's a single point of failure. Enphase has no point of failure like that since at most a panel or two could go out and the rest continue on generating power. Either system comes with a user friendly app to monitor your panel generation in real time and has multiple reports to see your generation either daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, lifetime. Ultimately, choosing a system will depend on your budget and risk factors you want to take. Either system after rebates (which I received both the state and federal) will have about a 4-7 year payback time, after which it will be free electricity for the remainder of the life of the system, which is 25+ years. In summary, Greenlink is an OUTSTANDING company and has met every commitment and promise they have made. Whatever you do, DO NOT go with a lease or have some out of city/state company install your panels. You want to go with a local company that stands behind their work and will handle all rebate and warranty paperwork/replacement in a timely professional manner. I have NO REGRETS and HIGHLY recommend Greenlink. While I didn't name everybody in this review, I hope Austin passes on my appreciation to ALL the members of the team that serviced my residence. Great job! Almost forgot.... Austin is a veteran so you are also supporting a veteran owned company when choosing Greenlink. Thank you for your service Austin and keep on wow'ing the customers!
Greenlink installed my solar system. The installation was seamless, the crew was very efficient. The customer support team was excellent, explaining in detail how everything worked. My overall experience was as good as I could want.
