I have a 100+ year-old home and was told by my existing oil company that I needed a new boiler and potentially a new tank. So, I decided to start with the oil tank and I proceeded to get several quotes. Rob from Control Point Mechanical came in with the most reasonable quote and the highest quality products so I went with CPM. Once I made the decision to go with CPM, I spoke with Nick who addressed a couple of questions, then I worked with Beth to schedule the installation. Beth was helpful in getting me the exact date that I needed so that the work was done on time. Rob & Hunter just left my house and I am supremely impressed with the job that they did today. First, they communicated with me clearly and concisely, showed up when they said they were gonna show up, and left the place sparkling. It’s truly in better shape than when I open the door to let them in this morning. Every detail was covered. They were both easy to work with and enjoyable to have around the house. Control Point just installed a tier 2 heat pump system in my home, and I couldn't be more impressed with their service. Mark G. provided the consultation and quotes. He explained the systems clearly, answered every question and got the design approved by my municipality in order to qualify for a loan and rebate. He also answered texts after hours to help me get the paperwork filed for the loan. James P. and Jon S. were complete professionals with the installation. James clearly explained every step of the process. Jon consulted me on the placement and orientation of the condenser unit. James made sure all my questions regarding operation and maintenance were answered and cleaned up the work area. The entire Control Point team, including the Beth in the office, was always friendly and helpful. The guys also indulged my demanding little dog with attention. I wouldn't hesitate to use Control Point again.

The website states that the maintenance plan is $15 per month, but it does not mention the $90 upfront payment. Diagnostic fees also vary depending on who you speak with. For example, companies like Nicholson charge diagnostic fees by the job, while this company charges $89 for the first 15 minutes and then $150 afterward, and these charges are different based on who you speak. A lot of the company’s policies are unclear, and employees seem to give different information. Some request a credit card before a technician arrives, while others don’t. The estimate I received felt like a complete rip-off—the part costs about $7, and the repair takes roughly 45 minutes, yet the estimate was over $800. I’m genuinely surprised they have five-star ratings. In today’s world of AI-influenced reviews, it’s getting harder to know what’s true. I am sharing my experience, hope it helps someone.
