Epic Electric, Heating, Cooling & Plumbing

Kept appointment. On time. Thorough and professional. Fixed what was broken. Piece of mind. These are five things EPIC/Tieson did that my *former* builder (LCD) and electrician (VECTOR) failed. Tieson checked panel, replaced non-working suspect outlet in the kitchen, only to discover root of problem was MELTED, CHARRED plastic cap and wires, BEHIND PANTRY PANEL, that had three wires not twisted together at all, in a rough-in that had no shield box to prevent igniting combustibles. Thus the gap, arc, heat, melting, and disruption to that circuit. Tieson demonstrated what a *proper*, safe mechanical connection should look like ("pigtail," it looks like copper rotini pasta!). And he installed that shield box (that should not have passed Inspection/code without it). I am lucky my house didn't burn down. My house, my irreplaceable sentimental belongings, me, my pets (including service K9), all at risk. I was both relieved and mortified that such substandard workmanship existed in my house, but at least Tieson checked it and made it right. Originally installed BACKWARDS by plumber (PACE), then re-arranged and "fixed" by builder (LCD), burned to a brittle crisp between layers of pink insulation batting, also discolored from hot tape. Also, *not* preventing water lines from freezing, repeatedly, every winter, since January 2022. Because builder (LCD) failed to disclose they signed waiver of freeze zone to install pipes in...a freeze zone. That not surpringly...froze. Tieson indicated there is a wide variety of residential and commercial heat tapes, and appropriate, safe uses. This singed heat tape was neither safe nor appropriate. Tieson very thoughtfully walked through the rest of the house, interior and exterior, with my list of concerns, remodels, and additions for projects omitted and/or botched during build. Getting quotes on those to knock out pending time and budget. Even better, EPIC also services HVAC, and has HVAC maintenence programs. I had such a nightmare custom home build experience (2020 to current), I have been systematically replacing original subs and vendors with *reliable* folks now that most warranties are over. Tieson answered all my questions, put my mind at ease for anything lurking in the walls, and gave me straightforward guidance about the projects that I have in mind. I feel optimism now, instead of doubt and dread. I am relieved to finally find an electrician who is competent, has integrity, and values reputation.

Not a good experience. I would use another company if possible. I had Epic do some electrical work for me. On the day of the installation, the electricians tried to charge me and leave before all the work was completed. Once I reminded them of the full job, they stayed and finished. However, I soon discovered that they did not put in the correct amperage breaker for the project. I have contacted Epic multiple times to come fix this, and they refuse to respond. Three months have passed, and Epic still has not come to fix their mistake, even with multiple reminders from me. I will not be using them again in the future.

Kelvin at Epic Electric did a great job replacing my electrical meter and service connection. He had excellent communication and customer service throughout our experience. Kelvin and Tyson worked with me and the city to find a solution to a challenging situation bringing my service connection up to code and making sure my home is safe. Kelvin at Epic will be my first call for any electric issues in the future.

I highly recommend Epic electric. After having issues with my residential power, I started looking for electricians to come. Other recommended local electricians did not answer the phone, or even return my calls. I used Epic Electrics online contact form and was contacted almost immediately after I submitted my queries. They were extremely kind and professional, and despite being booked out, they offered to put me on a call back list along with my appointment. Epic Electric provided outstanding service. I contacted them last night, and by 10 AM today, a technician arrived to address my concerns. We spent a few hours troubleshooting two separate issues on different circuits—one involved a loose connection, while the other was a burned-out outlet. Both problems were thoroughly resolved, and the team was flexible and accommodating regarding payment arrangements. I highly recommend Epic Electric and plan to use their services again in the future. The electrician was extremely professional and personable throughout the process.

We’ve used Epic for vent cleaning, electrical fixes and plumbing fixes in our new house. They’ve been beyond helpful, very professional, fair priced and courteous. They show up on time, always call on route to give ETA, dressed in uniform and tidy up after the job is done. Can not say enough good things about this company and the management. Looking forward to using them for yearly maintenance of AC/Furnace.
