EPB Brainerd Branch

3.9

The EPB Brainerd Branch offers convenient access to energy services for Chattanooga residents. As a battery storage provider, it plays a crucial role in modernizing the power grid. While the location aims for efficiency, some customers have reported challenges regarding billing inquiries and customer interactions, indicating room for improvement in operational clarity.

Navigating the branch’s services, particularly at the drive-thru window, can occasionally present difficulties. Improvements in staff training and clear communication regarding operating procedures are areas for focused attention. The commitment to enhanced security measures is appreciated, but should be balanced with a welcoming and straightforward customer experience.

Weather aside two months straight of higher bills than usual when some days the heater isn't even on, others it's set low 70 degrees, one person in home most times, smaller place using very little, on computer way less often, sleeping more, outside more, yes I get opening the door, but no sense at all for such a higher bill. Can't cut back much more without just sitting in cold reading a book or something, and the bill is around $300 every time. Feels like we're paying for the neighbors to or something. I'd like to see their bill as they're much more wasteful than I ever would be yet my bill is just crazy it's higher than last year, and I know we had the heat up at higher temperatures and I was gaming a lot more often. Surely just sitting around with only one light on in the whole house barely touching the PC and sleeping a lot or working outside shouldn't have the electric bill $300 but okay EPB.

Lady that sometimes works drive thru by herself goes out of her way to be rude and obnoxious. Questions way to much that she shouldn't be questioning just to make it intentionally a difficult customer experience. Been getting away with this a long time. Evidently they need her due to lack of staffing because her customer service skills are very lacking. Tried to post a credit with my change of service request and she's questioning who told me I needed a deposit. On the phone I was lied to about needing a deposit anyway. I already knew I didn't. Just do what the customer requests. Was told to get out of lane 1 and move to lane 2 because if I would've paid attention lane 1 was closed. There was no customer in any lane but me waiting. She had to help me anyway because no one was inside but her. She is just being difficult for no reason with people. This is not the first time I've dealt with her foolishness. She needs to be let go. Then shes questioning if I have a different ID. For some reason she thinks a drivers license is necessary. Plus when you use the kiosk inside the security guard thinks he needs to come inside monitor you and look over your shoulder to tell you how to use it. If you say something he gets all defensive. Ridiculous. I don't understand why these closed EPB lobbys need over zealous security guards anyway. Hixson is the same way. They've been closed since COVID. Sad that you have to avoid them and the rude staff by just coming at nite. You can just look in the lobby and they are motioning their closed go to drive thru. Obviously I'm inside for the kiosk. EPB lobbies have been closed for a very long time. People should already know.

FiTV app is terrible. I work at home and shouldn’t have to constantly keep responding to an "are you still watching" prompt that can’t be disabled. Most ridiculous feature for an app that replaces a regular cable box. Worst leap backwards in TV service in my 55+ years. It can be and should be fixed and they told me it’s the number one complaint over a year ago. So much about caring for your customers.

No end of issues with autopay, difficult to get in touch with someone to fix services and pay bills, their website functions well, until it doesn’t. Overall very fed up with the company and their services as a whole.

KT Hampton came out to install internet service and must say he was amazing. He was very professional and patient with my dog who barked non stop the entire time he was working. We were very fortunate that he tolerated the loud mouth baby who wouldn’t hush. Thank you for your patience and hope that EPB knows what an asset you are to their company! Happy Holidays . People really do appreciate animal tolerant service techs!

They just tried to shut our service off a day before it's due? We paid on the 14th, it is the 13th. My husband immediately paid for next month on the computer but this is getting pretty ridiculous. Years of this is tiring. The Kendall tree service they hired out here destroyed our property markers & water main entrance, nothing has been done. We pay our bills every month, on time and are being embarrassed like this at our home. For what? I'd share a screenshot of it wasn't our personal information.
