Tesla Supercharger

I felt safe here! There is lots going on around here too with a Trader Joe’s and Marshall’s. My charging time is going by very fast. I’ve been to some superchargers that take forever. It’s right by the freeway I think it would be OK here at night if I was with somebody else. I’m not too sure if it’s safe to be here as a female at night, and it’s only because the whole area has been taken over by homeless just be aware of your surroundings at all times and this goes for all people not Just females. I would definitely come to the supercharger again. It’s obviously a very popular one so just check to make sure they have stalls open because since I have been here, there has been three cars waiting. I got here just in time before it was full.

Security Concern! - This may be a high-risk station. Cameras are needed! When walking back to our car during the morning daylight, a guy in an older Tesla in 2B was looking in our car, window to window. He didn’t see us coming. He then opened his front, grabbed something (mechanical center punch maybe?), then returned to look in the windows again (yes, I had a box of goods for my trip sitting in the back seat), then he looked up and saw me walking toward him and smiling at him, closed the frunk and got back in his car. I think cameras would help prevent someone from doing a smash and grab, while staging a charge.

I have been regularly charging here for the past 2 months and am quite pleased with everything about this location. There are 12 stalls laid out in 3 rows. I got just shy of 200 kW - >800 mi/hr.

This Supercharger Station happens to be one of the closest to my apartment (so I may be biased). However, it's conveniently located next to several shopping marts, which includes, Ross, Marshalls, Traders Joe's and Banana Republic. It's also about a 7 minute walk from Emeryville Bay Street which also has places for you to shop. I usually come to this spot after 7pm and generally can find a spot available. There's only been one time (my first time charging my Tesla) that I had to wait for a stall to open. All in all I love the location and quickness of the charges. I highly recommend utilizing this station as a "get some errands done" station.

Charging station located right off the 880 freeway. Easy access on your way to/from SFO or heading up to Sacramento. There are ample shops nearby while you wait for your Tesla to charge. Located right next to the Marshalls and Trader Joe’s, you can shop while you wait or walk over to Bay Street which is about a 7 minute walk. Weekends during the day are pretty busy but come during the week, evening or during the day and you’re bound to find a place to charge. This station has 18 charging points available 24/7.

Chargers: 12 250kWh ️Trash bin: A few located near retail shops Restrooms: Starbucks a few stores Down Nearby: Variety of places to shop and eat across the way (Trader Joes, Starbucks) ‍♂️Notes: Very busy. Got lucky and charged when there were 3/12. When we left 11/12 were being used.

Why is it so expensive? $40 bucks to full charge. That's only 9 dollars cheaper then compared to a gas
