Apparently, it’s common to cut in line here. The security is only there to make sure the cars don’t block the busy Bank of America parking lot, even though I was told it was typical for people to get into arguments over the chargers. It is a crowded, small, and inconvenient location. This location should be closed down.
Easy to find, was not busy at 7 AM on a Sunday. The only issue is that the 250 kw charger started slow at 50 kw or it’s the Kia Niro 2022 car battery that has an issue. Also there are only 3 chargers but better than nothing in the area.
Always a long line. Why can't there be a list to sign up for charging so everyone in line knows who's next? This will reduce the confusion and friction of those waiting in line. Can you sign up for a queue from the app? I wish that's a feature. At least until more charging stations exist .
Bummer, still sooo many issues . . . 1 of 3 was working, the other 2 appeared so but once plugged in wouldn’t connect. As usual, I called support and she restarted them. I tried them both and both charged at 140kW. Found out EA can’t live monitor the chargers like Tesla and relies on customer reporting issues . I now primarily use EVGo. So far very reliable plus on some charges 2 cars can charge simultaneously. ¢.25 Early Bird 12AM-8AM ¢.31 Off-Peak 8AM-4PM & 9PM-12AM ¢.38 On-Peak 4PM-9PM
Tried two machines at this location - couldn't pay with a credit card (reader was down) so I downloaded the app, loaded it with some funds, and then tried to charge my vehicle. Both machines kept showing "session connection errors" (un-actionable error messages) and customer service reps couldn't explain it. Terrible experience, unreliable machines.
It's a convenient location to get a quick charge if ur in downtown LA and r running out of charge. Mainly for Lyft and Uber drivers who need a charge. Sadly only 2 of the stations actually work..
Absolute worse location for a station. One of the chargers out of service. Nowhere for people to wait without blocking bofa customers in.
