Electrify America Charging Station

I've used this charge about 20 times in the past 2 year. The results were mixed but it is getting better. At one point (About a year back.) 3 out of 4 charges were having some issues (1 didn't work, 2 of them charging will get interrupted mid-session) But it is getting better. the last 2 times I was here didn't encounter any major issues. The best thing about this location is that 1. if you are going to Portland, this is the last stop with cheapest rate available (Once you get into Portland, you will be paying 25% more at all EA chargers over there!) 2. You can shop while you charge! Because of those reason, I will always try to get as close to top off as possible before I head South!

If you want to buy a car and one of the arguments why I should choose that instead of different one I will tell you one thing. Having Electrify America for free should not be an argument. Poor infrastructure, support in foreign country and lack of repairs is causing that either your car will charge ages, or you won’t be able to charge it at all. During last year and the half I was experiencing all possible issues with those chargers. If you are wondering why Ford, VW and others are not successful in EV - that’s one of the reasons.

Got up to 140. Easy to find. Plenty of chargers. It is expensive at $.40, but still cheaper than gas by far!

Things are better than they were a month ago because they charge by the kwh now and there is no connection fee. I have had several restarts, which is really annoying, but today things are going smooth. No complaints. Be aware that every time you start a charge there is a $50 hold put on your bank account. Multiple restarts and you'll have multiple $50 holds until it figures it out in a day or two. The cost of the charge is usually only a few dollars in the end.

The one at the coast works without fail. The one in Vancouver WA near the Walmart doesn’t work three out of four times and that is trying multiple chargers. I don’t know if they get beat up there or the issue but pretty much gave up using that location

It is a fast charger........ however I had to let it charge for an hour.......I live far away and there should be more charging stations available
