My starter was shot and Fred's had no problem rebuilding it. Incredibly fast turnaround and the starter spun right up after putting it back on the tractor. Was half the cost with having Fred's rebuild it instead of buying new or rebuilt. Mike was knowledgeable and great to work with. I'll be back with any kind of electrical issues.

Great service. Friendly and helpful. I've had them fix several starters and alternators over the years. I've also purchased new units and have had great results with both new and repaired. Skip the parts store or dealer and go to Fred's. Had an alternator in my harvester fail during harvest. Reman from dealer was $1200. Fred's was able to get a new one the next day for about $250. They also quickly patched the damaged one back together so I could keep running till the new one came in. They keep many new units in stock, and are adding more inventory all the time. Sometimes they have had a rebuilt in stock as well. They've sold me parts and described how to repair my alternator when I didn't have time to wait for them to rebuild. Turn around time for rebuilding is usually a week or less. They do great work! I will keep going to Fred's as long as they are open for business.

Mike and the guys at the shop are always willing to give advice and the quality of their work is excellent at a very reasonable price! I've took dozens of starters and alternators to them over the years and never had a problem! I'll never put on aftermarket parts as long as they are open for business. Definitely 5 stars!

I have an all-original 1957 Chevy. The generator went out. Not only did they test it, they rebuilt it to keep it numbers-matching. All for less than a replacement would've been. It was done quickly and all communication was incredibly professional.

My alternator went out. Turns up that the only good thing about it any more was just the casing. $60 labor charge and the cost of the new parts put in it and it was still about $150 less then buying a new one. And they provide a 90 warranty on it. Better and cheaper than new. Didn't take them long to fix it either!

Very knowledgeable and willing to help newbies get the right parts to fix their starters and alternators. Saved me hundreds of $ over the years. I think they also sell batteries and, of course, rebuild starters and alternators.
