Great experience dealing with Colonial Generators! The four folks we dealt with most were Gail, who handled the admin and permits; John, who oversaw the project from start to finish; and both Darwin and Miguel, our installers, not only worked hard, but the way they ran the lines (perfect for my Type A personality), and were respectful of our home, both inside and out. Everyone was friendly, professional, and thorough in ensuring the system worked, and we were comfortable with its operations as well. The follow-up after the installation was also very much appreciated. Thank you, Colonial Generators, for the peace of mind. We highly recommend Colonial Generators for your generator purchase!

Would not recommend this company in the slightest. It’s been months since we had someone come out for a quote and even after calling them multiple times have yet to see a quote. They don’t even have the decency to reply. We are a family with young children and wanted to make sure our generator was updated and ready to go for the winter. At this rate even if we went with another company they may not be able to finish before winter. Colonial generators has wasted our time and strung us along. Shame on them.

Terrific service, installation was great. It was no-pressure sales and the product the Cummins generator they installed has worked perfectly the first time we needed it. I would definitely recommend, and already have, them!

Contracted with Colonial in July and paid a hefty 50% deposit. Did not hear from them until mid September when I reached out asking what was going on with permits. cause I was told 6-8 weeks. They did not submit the permit for 2 months after my deposit, and apparently this was due to lack of OSHA certifications. The rep that I signed the deal with no longer works there, and I have not received a single communication from them. Spoke to someone on the phone asking for a new point of contact, she guaranteed someone would email and reach out, and have yet to heard from them for weeks. It has been 4 months trying to understand what is going on, and I still don't know. I am hopeful the workmanship and quality of the product will be great based on other reviews, but take your business elsewhere.

We had a generator installed 1.5 years ago, and have had no issues until today, Christmas. In the middle of prep for a Christmas brunch for out of town guests, our power went out and our generator did not restore power to our house. While my husband tried to trouble shoot the generator and poured through the manuals, I called all the company numbers available. Somehow we got through to the company president, Mike, who was able to problem solve with my husband and get our power restored! 10 hours later, our generator is still going strong, allowing us to have a wonderful Christmas at home with our family. I am so grateful for their professional service, even on a holiday morning! Thank you Colonial Generators! I have to update my original review. When our generator was originally set up, they had told us that we didn't need to monitor the generator because they would let us know if any maintenance needed to be done or if anything was wrong. We have repeatedly had instances where our generator has not been on stand-by, in some cases only discovering this when we lost power. Our website to monitor issues is no longer connecting, and multiple attempts to reach the company have failed (via email and phone). Great customer service of years ago is now nonexistent.

Absolutely love our generator. With the weather in Pennsylvania becoming more erratic and crazy I’m completely satisfied with how well my generator has done since installation, especially with this most recent storm that came through. Kevin did our in-home consultation and he was amazing. He was there to answer any questions we had. The installation team was professional and knowledgeable , it was done quickly all the paperwork was done quickly and that’s all anybody can ask for nowadays thank you so much Colonial generators!

The installers showed up on time and the installation went well. Installers were very professional and thoroughly explained the operation of the generator and mobile app. After installation, they tested the generator to ensure it was working properly. The crew did a great job! I highly recommend Colonial Generators.
