In early September 2024, I decided to be better prepared to any future power outage and losing all power at my house. This led me to have a subpanel built from my main electrical system to run my large portable generator, a Generac 8500. My first step was to seek four bids/quotes from reputable electrical companies in Denver Metro. In the process, I had the opportunity to speak to each of the four companies. The company that stood above the rest to me from the start was Altitude Electric. In my very first conversation with Jody at Altitude Electric, I learned so much about this process. Jody was very nice, knowledgeable, and provided me with the information I needed to make a good decision. Although my conversations and/or meetings with each of the other companies were fine. Jody at Altitude Electric had made a strong impression on me. After receiving and reviewing all four bids, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the quote from Altitude Electric was among the most competitive bids from a total cost standpoint. I scheduled for Altitude Electric to do the work. Prior to the day of installation, I was receiving both emails and text messages of my upcoming appointment. The communication from start to finish was outstanding. Karsten and Dan with Altitude Electric came and worked on my subpanel from 11 am to 4 pm non-stop. Karsten is a perfectionist at his trade and he and Dan paid attention to every detail to complete their job. I was so impressed with how they checked and double checked to make sure everything was done right. After the installation of the subpanel was completed, Karsten took time to explain to me how the circuits were transferred from my main panel to the subpanel. Karsten took time to label the circuits in my subpanel and Dan moved my new generator to where it could be operated. Once this was completed, Jody called me to schedule Bear and James to come back out and run the simulation of power outage at my house to show me how everything works. Initially, I had a minor issue with starting my brand new generator, but thankfully Bear is an experienced Generac technician. Bear and James got my generator running as it should after some troubleshooting and again walked me through the process of what to do when power goes out. With every step, the service teams at Altitude Electric took the time to help me understand how to best maintain and operate my newly installed system and gave me the confidence that my system will work when I need it. It was clear that they cared about me as a customer. I am so grateful to the high level professionalism and expertise that they all demonstrated through their quality workmanship and attention to detail. The best part is I know that Altitude Electric will stand behind their work and are available if I need them in the future. This home project was an expensive investment considering the cost of the generator and installation of an electrical subpanel, but for the value in service that I received from Altitude Electric, I could not be happier. I believe the security, safety, and convenience of having backup power for my family is priceless. Thank you, Jody and the team at Altitude Electric! You're the best! Altitude Electric did an amazing job with my service change! They were very clear on the process, and timely in the work. Including working with my energy company (Xcel), so I didn't have to coordinate anything on my end. They're prices were fair, and the team was very friendly and patient explaining things to me. A drunk driver knocked out my electric panel and meter after 7pm on Saturday. Core Electric was out by 9pm and had a new pie in the ground before daylight. When I asked them who they recommended to help restore power and set the meter, without hesitation they said Altitude Electric. Even though it was Sunday and they were closed, I decided to call and leave a message. Not only did James call me back, he and I spoke 3 times on his day off because he didn’t want me to worry or be stressed. The next day James gave me an update by text, Jodi called me to confirm their game plan and within an hour of speaking to Jodi the Altitude Electric team was at my house. All of this during off hours and during a holiday week!!! As a commercial property manager that has worked with thousands of vendors across the country, I am very impressed with the culture and customer service of Altitude Electric. I had a power outage where my Generac generator would not function properly. I called Altitude Electric after finding them on the web. This was one of those times when good fortune was on my side. Cassie answered my call. She told me their team was busy but said she would call around and find someone to come. In less than an hour, Karsten, an exceptionally knowledgeable technician, had me up and running in literally minutes.
