Road Runner HVAC

About 20 months ago we had Roadrunner replace a motor to fix our AC unit. They were great, fixing it quickly and cheaply. However, less than two years later, our AC unit completely broke. Roadrunner was the second lowest bid, but the lowest bidding company (and others who bid higher) found the motor Roadrunner had replaced previously was broken, and even speculated that it could (but also could not) be the cause of our AC unit completely breaking and requiring replacement. My husband called them today to let them know we were going with another company that outbid them, and when they asked why, he explained that the other company was cheaper and had found the broken motor Roadrunner installed. Before my husband could say anything else, Mary, the woman who runs Roadrunner’s front office, started screaming at him about "You’re trying to pull this!", why we didn’t use them to replace the unit and motor, how we could go ahead and file a lawsuit against them but "we have the best attorneys!" She was so loud I could hear her through his phone while he was several feet from me during elementary school pickup- it was not a quiet environment. My husband never once brought up filing a lawsuit, he never even asked for the fee for coming to inspect the unit to be waived or to have them pay for the cost to replace the motor. He was simply letting them know we were going with another company. When we told the company we ultimately used about the situation, they said they’ve heard this from many customers before about Roadrunner- they are cheap to hire, but that doesn’t mean they’ll do the work correctly. Save yourself the headache and skip this company. We certainly won’t be back with how Mary just treated us, even if they got rid of her. They’ve lost all trust with us.

Then came Shawn, our technician, who was an absolute HERO. He arrived promptly, radiating professionalism and a genuine desire to help. Shawn quickly diagnosed the issue with our AC and got to work with remarkable efficiency and care. His expertise was evident, and he not only fixed the problem swiftly but also took the time to explain the situation. He was incredibly tolerant of my many asks, patiently providing answers and demonstrating an impressive level of insight that made me feel completely at ease. Shawn's professionalism and kindness made a stressful situation so much more manageable. Thanks to Shawn and Mary, our home was cool and comfortable again in no time. We had called multiple HVAC specialists to only be over quoted by 900%, or sent personal who didn't know how to solve our existing duct re-route issue! Road Runner came in, got the job done that none of the multiple other companies would come and touch - all in less than an hour. They are life savers, and our new go to HVAC Duct Work Specialists. Extremely happy with all their workmanship, professionalism, and positive can do attitude. And they won't break the bank! Honest and reliable. Brian and Haff (spelling?) were very hard workers and gained all of our future business. Thank you Road Runner!

Road Runner installed the HVAC system for our home (we came in at the drywall phase with a custom builder, so it was already installed). We didn't realize until recently that the fan-only function never worked. We called Road Runner since they were the name on the furnace, and I spoke to someone who said their technician would call to help us troubleshoot. No one ever called us back, so we did the standard troubleshooting ourselves that confirmed something was probably wrong with the wiring or control board. I called again to have a technician come out to help us fix the issue, and again no call back. We finally called another company who came out promptly, helped us warranty the dysfunctional control board, and get our system working correctly all in the same day. I wanted to give the original contractor a chance for some business and to stand by their implementation, but alas.

I wish I was able to give negative stars for the experience I have had. We are going on 14 months with still no resolution, two of my rooms do not have heat/ac. I cannot rely on them proactively calling me to get things done, I have to continuously follow up. This has been the absolute worst service I have ever received and I would not recommend them to anyone, if you actually want the work to be completed. Frustrated, cold and irritated!!

Had a new furnace and ac installed they did amazing job. Honest installers and priced competitively.
