My 5-year-old AC went out over a 90-degree weekend. A company I’d used before told me the compressor was completely dead and it would take 45 days to get a new one, or they could replace the entire unit in 2 days for $10k. That seemed extreme for a 5-year-old system so I started looking for a short-notice second opinion. I called another HVAC company, Ralphs, and although they don't service my area in the city, they recommended Lucas Mechanical as a company they trust. Lucas had their tech, Carlos, out in less than 90 minutes. He replaced the capacitor ($90 part), and my AC was back. The compressor works fine. Recommended by another company and saved me $10k (minus the cost of the trip). Hugely thankful! I called Ralph's back to thank them for the recommendation and they basically said, 'we know they do good work.'

I highly recommend Lucas Mechanical. One of the HVAC units in my commercial building was not working, and I needed to have it fixed before the next winter freeze. Carlos quickly deduced the problem and explained it to me in a logical and easy-to-understand manner. Since it was an older HVAC unit, I appreciated an alternative solution to fix it instead of just telling me to replace it. When the time comes to replace the unit, I will gladly hire Lucas Mechanical.

With every visit, each of these guys has been professional and competent, and particularly thoughtful with my nonagenarian mom.
