Freezone Heating and Cooling

FreeZoneRVA replaced my HVAC system 11 months ago, but I just discovered they never finished the job properly. Instead of adhering to industry standards of securing the new unit with straps and sealant, they cut corners and taped the old duct to the new system. I only found out when, seven months pregnant, I realized both sides of the duct had come loose — losing energy efficiency for nearly a year and sucking harmful insulation from the attic into the airflow. They came back to fix it and did what should’ve been done the first time — gluing and strapping the duct correctly — but refused any compensation for nearly a year of lost efficiency (and lost peace of mind due to inhaling insulation while pregnant). They claimed that because it was a "replacement," they weren’t responsible for installing it correctly. Who was, then? Energy is expensive enough without paying for someone else’s shortcuts. I do not recommend this company. Note: The first image is what they did initially, the second is what they should have done (notice the straps and glue).

Today I had the pleasure of working with Christopher Hernandez. He is an awesome and honest technician and I just want to take the time to thank him for everything. Chris was so friendly kind and helpful. He checked out the problem first to see if he could fix it even though I called them to get a quote for a new unit. After the problem couldn’t be resolved, we then got to the great quote and finance option. Though we went another direction for the install, this is the kind of service I will always remember and refer others to.

Had a wonderful experience with Freezone, specifically Chris. Our AC went out unexpectedly and I am so thankful at how quickly Chris responded to come out for a quote and have his team install a new AC & furnace. He was so nice, down to earth, and truly just wanted to help. As a woman, many of these HVAC companies make assumptions about our knowledge, but Chris treated me with respect and did not try to sell me on something I did not need. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. Their quote was the most competitive we received and they even offered a discount for paying in cash which I greatly appreciated. We have had the new AC system for about 2 months and everything is working great. Can't say enough great things about Freezone and Chris - thank you so much!

Christopher Hernandez awesome guy he came out noticed that the capacitor need to be replaced he replaced it turned it on and it started cooling thank you so much . Christopher and the price was really good $200 . Freezone was super helpful and very quick to come out and look at our AC. Christopher was great and explained the issue and fixed it fast. He even cleaned/sprayed the outside unit while he was here. They felt very trustworthy and the pricing seemed fair.

The service was excellent and the technician explained everything in an easy to understand manner. The only reason for not giving a 5 star rating is the price. There is a diagnostic fee and it was identified that a capacitor is the issue. The additional fee charged was 5 times the approximate cost of the capacitor which seamed a bit excessive.
