I just posted some of my first yelp reviews because of these guys: I can't say enough good things about Mick's Heating & Air. Our capacitor went out during the hottest day of the year (of course when we had guests staying with us) so naturally we were scrambling to find someone on short notice. Mick absolutely went above and beyond. He immediately found and fixed the issue and we've been doing great ever since. People like this are the reason we live in this area, and we'll absolutely be using these guys again for any future HVAC issues.

We had mini splits put in by another company in 2022, sadly had major nonstop problems with them, company's owner passed away and everything went downhill, a higher up tried last ditch efforts last fall to make things better before wife sold company, but two weeks ago it was really hot out and once again crazy sound from units which had occurred over and over in heat every summer. I was in tears, no more warranty and still stuck paying for expensive splits that apparently were not even installed properly. I found a referral for Micks Htg and Air on social media, called and Mickey answered and was so reassuring and helpful from the getgo. He made time to come out that day to check situation out. Very upfront, honest and told us how mini splits were not done properly, they could replace those but price comparable to central htg and air so we lived and learned that we should have done central htg and air originally. Cost estimate was way more than we wanted of course but In this old house in Orange and the way costs have gone up since covid, and fact they would haul away these splits and huge compressor located on a high patio cover, we decided it was necessary. Once that shock passed and day of install came, all I can say is this was a way better experience than prior company install. There was Mickey and about 6 other very nice, respectful hard working fellows who have their individual job assignments down pat, they help each other out when their task is done. It was the smoothest thing I've ever seen and all done within 7 hours and Mickey supervised everything throughout the day. These guys were straightshooters and didn't mess around. After job done they were amazing at cleaning and dusting furniture and vacuuming up dust and what not. They were more thorough than I am in cleaning, very detailed. This is a well run crew, professional and focused. Mickey knows how to treat his workers and customers well, I am confident we will not have the stress of AC issues as in the past. I can't say enough about the calm I finally feel. Thank you Mickey and all of your great staff. A well oiled and trustworthy team you are!

Mick quoted me $12,000 for two new air conditioners. As soon as Mick's team got done with installing the air conditioners, he told me I also needed new coils to prevent condensation from leaking into the ceilings of my home. That would be another $9500. I think that should have been in the original bid. I would have gotten other quotes for the job. I feel he unethically got my job . So I paid $21,500, when I was expecting to pay $12,000. He also told me he would replace my two furnaces for $10,000. They were both still working, so I passed on that. Before I knew about the coils he told me I would need to replace, I recommended him to a neighbor, who has the same model home as I have. He quoted her approximately $21,000 for the air conditioners, which included the coils. She told him she was seeking other bids. After calling her numerous times trying to get her business, he offered to throw in the two furnaces for FREE, the same furnaces that he quoted me at $10,000. When I confronted him, he said it was because her air conditioners were next to her house and mine were a few feet away. Really? That's worth $10,000? She went with another contractor, Sawtell Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, who replaced the furnaces, the air conditioners, and the coils for $18,500. His bid to me for the same thing was $31,500, $13,000 more than my neighbor paid.

We had the misfortune of our A/C dying on us. It was a 40 year old furnace and coil unit and a 19 year old condenser unit, so I knew it was time to replace. A friend of mine recommended giving Mick a call. While the cost of replacing an A/C is never an easy pill to swallow, Mick and his team made it the best possible experience. Mick was out within 24 hours and 48 hours later we were back up and running with a quieter, more efficient, 2 stage system. They scheduled to be here for about 4 hours and completed the job in about 2.5 hours. They had great communication during the entire process. Perhaps most impressively, our 2 Great Danes were very comfortable with them coming in and out of the house to do their checks. Our family thanks you!

We hired Mick and his team to redo our ducts, and put in a new air conditioner and furnace. They are a family run business... very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They brought in a crew of 5 to get the job done quickly and completely. They were very reasonably priced and fair. Will definitely work with them whenever the need arises and would recommend them without reservation!

Mick’s crew is awesome! I remodeled my home last summer and they did a full install and new duct work, they gave me a free Nest thermostat and taught me how to use it. They worked around the craziness going on and were extremely professional and friendly. They made the process easy peasy. I am writing this review as a ten month update because I am so happy with my new unit still and wanted to make sure I gave credit where deserved. I am really glad I went with the 16 Seer high efficient AC unit because I use my AC a lot and it’s saved me a LOT of money compared to what I was paying with my previous AC. This business is a class act, and I love supporting small family businesses because the quality always shows so much more than those big chain companies. Would definitely (and already have) recommend to others!

Absolutely the best. I got bids form 3 companies on a new air, heater, and vents. Not only was Mick's pricing the best but they were clean, considerate, fast and had the best quality work. I can't say enough about their professionalism and craftsmanship. They even went above and beyond to finish molding where others had cut corners on installation. 100% using them for all HVAC needs.
