Affordable Air and Heating

My friend recommended this company for a new AC system. The estimate they gave me was the absolute highest of the four I received - unreasonably high so the name of the company is an complete oxymoron. I'm sure they do good work but I strongly recommend obtaining additional estimates.

Affordable Air provided the best customer service I have ever received for any work done at my house. And no, they did not pay me to say this. No, I do not work for the company. My A/C went out over the summer---blowing hot air, making weird noises and basically on its way out. I looked on NextDoor and saw this company had a lot of good ratings. I called, they picked up immediately and Jeremy came out. Before he came out I received a text telling me all about him including that he was a dad, football coach, # years of experience with company, etc. (Nice touch). He talked me through what was going on and offered a fair price for repairs versus replacement. I ultimately went with replacement and he got me all the discounts I qualified for and it was a "no pressure" situation. I decided to install a whole new HVAC system since mine was 20+ years old and kicking the bucket. A week later, as promised, the install techs showed up on time and acting like they enjoyed their jobs (rare these days). They weren't just friendly, they were just all around nice guys. John, was the lead installer and he went above and beyond to explain what he was doing, what the other installers were doing, and showed me how to use everything, how everything worked, I mean he literally explained EVERYTHING. Not in a way that was long-winded or annoying just in a user-friendly, helpful manner. He actually seemed thrilled to be doing the work and even mentioned how much he likes working for this company because of how they treat customers and how they are treated as employees. So nice to hear and it shows! Omar, one of the installers clearly knows exactly what he is doing. He is a total pro. He did not "rig" anything. In fact, he went above and beyond by installing things even better than they were before (like replacing & moving a PVC pipe so it wouldn't be in the way (which it was before), re-doing other lines that probably would have been OK but he just didn't want to take chances, etc.). He was also very friendly. Then there's Angel. Super friendly and while still learning the trade, he was a pro with customer service. He went above and beyond by going into my attic to check that my ducts weren't ripped or loose. This was NOT part of the job. He did it because I was concerned since I did not know how old the ducting was. He jumped right up into the attic and made sure everything was good, took pictures, etc. Once the new AC unit was installed they THROUGHLY tested everything many times. They answered all my questions. They re-checked each other's work and pointed out various features. They were meticulous. This was not "throw it in and run" kind of job. They clearly take pride in their work - they actually commented that they love their jobs. SO REFRESHING! All three of the installers were also remarkably POLITE--Very quiet, lots of "please" and "thank you..excuse me, let me move that for you, etc..."They cleaned up after themselves to the point you would never know they were there. I'm telling you...these are just good guys. I have had so many techs and repairmen to my house over the years and these guys were all TOP NOTCH. The level of service was genuine, friendly, and customer focused. The work was professional and thorough. They worked hard from the minute they arrived until they left. There was no "upselling." The new HVAC itself looks great, is quiet, and is blowing more air than ever. I don't know the brand (Goodman?) but with a 10 year warranty on parts and a company like this, I am not worried. I know that if something goes wrong, I won't get a lot of hassle and run around. And I love my new Ecobee thermostat. 🙂 I highly recommend Affordable Air. You will NOT regret hiring them.

First time working with Affordable Air. My brother recommended them and I now know why. Their communication and scheduling was incredibly good relative to other services that I’ve had. Their team called ahead to let me know the eta, sent a live link of the technicians location to give me time to lock up my dogs, and the technician was professional. Kenny R. (Didn’t want to post their last name for privacy reasons) was my technician and I would recommend him to any other friends looking for HVAC services. Soft spoken and nice, he was able to address our AC issues and clearly state the issues for me to understand what was going on. As a newish resident to SCV, I can say with confidence that if I have problems with my HVAC system I’ll be calling Affordable air again.

Just had my A/C and heating replaced excellent customer service. Danny, George, and Eddie went above and beyond. They are very knowledgeable and most importantly honest. So thankful for them. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

If I could give this review 10 stars I would! We got 3 quotes from other companies but when Affordable Air came to give us theirs it was an easy decision. The entire process and team were fantastic! Anthony gave us an honest and thorough quote with all our options up front and answered all our questions on the spot! He knows his stuff!! They are fairly priced and offer great equipment options. We went with the Lennox system. When the team of guys, John, Bryan and Jonathan, came to do the install they were clean, polite, thorough and respectful. You could tell they enjoyed working with and cared for each other. John Trevino was the lead on the job and he was very thorough in explaining what was happening and how to use everything. We upgraded the thermostat and he walked me through the app and how to work the system which was great as I’m not very tech savvy! AND on top of all of the install work, my front door handle broke (not their fault at all!) and John installed the new one I had bought!! Amazing customer service! The ladies in the office were just as helpful and friendly when we called for information and they complete the warranty paperwork for you so all you have to do is enjoy the fruits of their labor! If you’re looking for a new A/C system or repairs to your existing one, please give these guys a call! You won’t be disappointed!

Jeremee Eiser is one of their best technicians, he just came by to do fall maintenance in the HVAC system. He does a great job every time. Affordable Air is highly recommended!!

Highly recommend this company. Our Furnace was old and beyond repair. Matt and Jesse came out and installed our new unit, They did a FANTASTIC job. Matt is very knowledgeable, he answered all our questions and explained everything in detail. Very pleased with the outcome and will definitely continue doing business with Affordable Air again!
