Desert Comfort Mechanical

I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received from Desert Comfort. Doug was completely up front and detailed about my options, the cost involved, the installation process, and the time required for installation. He went out of his way to be of service, even brought me a box of filters the next day, free of charge. I highly recommend Desert Comfort!

Late night saviors! My AC died last night, my usual company came out and said the only answer was replacement. After calling around, DCM had a man out to my house, ID'd the issue, and repaired it. I can't recommend them highly enough! Special thanks to Trino, who really went above and beyond.

I cannot recommend Desert Comfort Mechanical enough. My older a/c developed a problem in which the interior fan would occasionally not start on a random basis. Re-booting the system would get it to work again, which proved the fans could blow and the compressor could compress, so it was far from a complete system failure. I called three of the most "reputable" companies in the valley and all three gave vague diagnoses then went straight to selling a new unit. I thought the system had life remaining and I called Doug at Desert Comfort Mechanical. He agreed, and before even scheduling a visit gave me an idea (for free) to try before spending any money. That was my first indication I had reached someone with real integrity. The idea ultimately did not work, but eliminated one possibility. He came shortly thereafter, diagnosed the entire system, found the problem (which had not been mentioned by any of the other three), and replaced the faulty part. The system has performed flawlessly for 12 days, and I have found my new a/c tech.

OUTSTANDING service!!!!!!!!! AC went out in the middle of the night. Called them at 4:00a.m. and Doug called back at 4:30a.m. saying he could be out this same day between 8am and 10am. Doug arrived on time as promised. He was personable, knowledgeable and efficient. Quickly diagnosed the problem and expeditiously completed the necessary repair to get our ac back up and running. We really appreciated the phenomenal service. If I could rate this company ten (10) stars I would.

Thursday night, I returned home, and my house thermostat was showing 85 degrees. I tried everything I knew to do without success. My husband searched for an AC repair company, saw the 5-star reviews for Desert Comfort Mechanical, and gave them a call. He called three companies, and Desert Comfort was the only one to call him back. They called back within 30 minutes. It was 9:00 pm by this time. Fidel said they could be out that same night or at 5:00 am. Since it was so late, already I opted for the early morning appointment. Fidel and another gentleman arrived when they said they would and, within 20 minutes, knew what the trouble was. They were both extremely professional and offered several options with reasonable pricing. They made the repairs the same day, provided me with Duct Cleaning company referrals, and even checked on me that evening to see if everything had cooled down and was working great. I will refer Desert Comfort to anyone asking if I know a good AC company and be a loyal customer from here on out. Desert Comfort is a perfect example of great customer service.

After mostly negative interaction, I've been jaded about HVAC companies for a very long time. Finding Desert Comfort Mechanical has been a blessing. They were prompt to respond on Sunday and arrived Monday within the allotted time window. They communicated early in the window their arrival would be toward the end of it. Doug and Denis arrived and got right to it. They were straight forward and great to work with. I was so impressed, I asked them to address a second system I had planned to deal with later. They trouble shot and repaired it quickly and efficiently as well. They were quick, honest, and affable. They've wholeheartedly earned my HVAC business and recommendation!

Beware! I sought an estimate for a swamp cooler repair in spring 2024. One part needed to be replaced. Est was $1,600! The estimate was far, far out of line. I found the replacement part I needed (at a reputable Valley supplier) for $79 and had it installed by a tech they recommended who specializes in evap coolers for $225. I was told on the phone the fee for estimate would be $119. The guy tried to charge me $149. I paid him $119 and said goodbye. I love my evap cooler in spring and fall. All is well, and I have nothing good to say about this company. Maybe it was a bad day, or a dishonest employee.
