I want to start by saying the staff at I.T. Worx are friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve worked with them in the past on a data recovery project and was very satisfied with that experience. So when it came time to replace my aging iMac (12+ years old), I turned to them again, trusting their guidance. They recommended an Mac Mini as an alternative, and I moved forward based on their advice. However, more than $4,000 later, I ended up with a system that—while powerful—was missing several essentials I simply assumed would be included: no internal mic, no camera, and not enough USB ports. That’s on me for not digging deeper, but I also wish they had taken the time to explain what I was getting and what additional equipment I’d need to make it functional for basic use. I’ve since had to purchase a camera, microphone, and USB hub separately, and even after all that, the system didn’t work when I tried to use it for the first time. When I reached out for help, I was told training would be $160/hour. I never expected free service—but clearer communication upfront would’ve saved a lot of time, money, and frustration on both sides. I truly like the people at I.T. Worx and believe they serve an important role in our community. But as a customer, I hope they’ll take a closer look at how they communicate with those of us who aren’t tech experts. Not everyone speaks the same technical language, and assuming we do can lead to expensive and disappointing outcomes. With improved communication and a more proactive approach, I think I.T. Worx has the potential to be a true premium service—not just charge premium prices.
super professional shop, was able to do a macbook pro battery repair for free because I had applecare. Their time estimate for repair was super accurate and they were very communicative during the process. They even ended up cleaning my machine after the repair!
The people are friendly and professional and the establishment is clean. If you decide to come here, I suggest you look for prices somewhere else. They charge $60 just to diagnose your device which is fair, but I went in with a damaged screen on a perfectly working MacBook Pro. I told them that was the only issue. They should have just quoted me the repair cost and an ave me the $60. What I got for my $60 was a 3 page email explaining that my screen was broken, no DUH! That is why I brought it in. I feel I got ripped off, so keep this in kind of you decide to come here. Next time, I’d rather make the drive to Greensboro and go to the Apple Store, at least they don’t charge you to tell you your device isn’t working. The manager spoke to me and basically did nothing to at the very least make things right. I got ripped off! I would not come back here again or do business with them.
I came into the store yesterday for an appointment. They were actually able to fix my old iPhone in a few minutes and didn't charge me for anything. Will definitely return in the event that I have more issues with Apple devices and would recommend to others.
Super duper fast. Went in for a 3pm appointment walked out within a min. Even tho it was a simple fix I was happy I was able to walk in and out with no issues! Thank you to the you man that fix my AirPods!!
Dropped off my AirPods due to a recurring issue and paid a $30 diagnostic fee, which they said would be refunded if a problem was found. They claimed nothing was wrong, even after I followed up and explained the issue again. I went to the Apple Store the next day, within 10 minutes, they confirmed the issue and replaced my AirPods for free under warranty. Normally, I don’t have to pay any diagnostic fee at the Apple Store since all my devices are covered under AppleCare. In the future, despite IT Worx being closer in location versus the Apple Store, I’ll just go straight to the Apple Store.
Made an appointment through the Apple website for my MacBook Air as the screen had cracked, was completely black and had rainbow lines running across it. I dropped my laptop off on Friday and they were able to diagnose the issue, order the parts, and have it ready for pickup today (Monday). It looks brand new! I am very pleased with my service.
