Mr. J did an outstanding job updating my electrical switch updated my wiring so I could safely use my new washer and dryer unit. He was professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was installed correctly. Do yourself a favor and don’t bother to call another electrician but Johnson Electric. Mr. J has been here all day hanging very challenging fixtures. He did whatever it took to complete the job with exquisite attention to every detail. Mission accomplished and I know for sure there is no one out there who could have done this job as professionally as it was. I’m thrilled with the final work. And he and his partner were a pleasure to work with.

Just the Facts

I paid over $500 for an evaluation of meters associated wth a 4 unit apartment building. The electrician identified that one apartment had electricity but was not hooked up to a meter although we get biiled each month. A second apartment he identified was hooked up to the wrong apartment. He turned the lights off in the hallway from the meter turned them back on then couldn't identify which meter controlled the same lights. He told me to contact Pepco. The receipt he left has absolutely no documentation of what he found, so it cannot be used to correct the problem and no one from the company will contact me to resolve the issue although I have contacted the company twice. They have high reviews but the excellent service did not extend to my issue. I usually have very good experiences with local vendors, but not this time. The owner of the company did not speak to me about any of the issues mentioned in the responses. I called twice to speak to the owner and received no response except through the review which is not my preference. The technician arrived on the wrong street because he said he couldn't find the building which is a corner building. He asked me to look for him and I told him I would wave my hands in the middle of the street only to see his truck a block away. I gave him my parking space because he said he was having trouble finding parking. Additionally, he initially told me that there was no meter to the apartment only to find one later. He turned off the lights to the hallway, then could not identify the meter that controlled the hallway lights. I was willing to allow him the time to find the meter, but he said he already took each meter off and I found it useless to argue. That was a source of frustration. In the end, I have no report from the evaluation that will allow Pepco to fix the issue, after having the paying over $500 for it and I have to have it done again. I voiced this to the electrician, wrote the issue on the receipt and called the company to get no direct response which was unfortunate. As I said. I am sure that satisfactory service has been the bulk of the experiences, but it did not extend to me.

Mr. Jay, Electrician with the Johnson Electrical Company was very thorough, polite and professional. We discussed why the light fixture was not working prior to his arrival. He arrived at the time specified with a replacement light fixture . He diagnosed the issue and determined that the light fixture indeed needed to be replaced. The job was completed within one hour.
